NHL Center Ice not showing Game 5?

Been looking and looking but see no evidence that Center Ice is picking up Game 5! VS is going to be Pens/Canadians and the Center Ice schedule shows Sharks/Wings (if necessary) at 4:30 but NO mention of Flyers/Bruins? Is this true? Thanks!

I have no definite info but sometimes center ice doesn't update their programming schedule until gameday. I'm in the same situation as you but I wouldn't be worried.

Thanks, but I wouldn't be a Flyers Fan if I wasn't worried!

Unless, I am mistaken none of the Flyers playoff games have been on VS if there was any other game at the same time. I am speculating that it is so Comcast can get more money out of the night but it leaves me with the problem I have had all season. Having to watch the other teams broadcast on center ice. Which most of the time are very annoying.

I hope the FCC ruling will allow me to get CSN-Philly (in Los Angeles market) by next season.

I think VS. just has a hard on for the Penguins. Could be though, I don't know much about FCC rules and regs.

I'd say about 1/3 of the Flyers game this year shown on CI were the Philly Broadcast for me here in AZ. Still kinda weak but supposedly better than year's past (first year I subscribed to CI).

flyers will be on csn. pens habs on vs. this is a good thing. <3 JJ

as for the LA dude, CI will definitely show it, they probably were waiting to see if sharks/wings would go to another game to figure out channels and such. probably update it for game day.

I don't mind it being on CSN. I can't stand Versus for more the one game, especially in the playoffs.

Right now, CI has SJ vs DET listed on Monday, but no Flyers yet. Hoping that changes.

Oh nice. Game on CSN. Can't argue with that (if you are in the Philly market that is ).

Still a lot of To Be Announced channels in the Directv CI area. They're all scattered around the Sharks game. They could be placeholders for the CSN-Philly feed.

NESN will be carrying the Flyers-Bruins on Directv CI. If you goto NESN on the guide for 7pm it will read BlueJays-RedSox, but as soon as the puck drops in the Bruins game, they will move the Red Sox to NESN+ and air the Bruins on NESN.

I may be misunderstanding but I don't think that answers what NHL Center Ice channel the game is on. I spent 15 minutes with Directv customer support. They believe the game is on Vs. and NESN. According to Vs. and NHL web sites that is not the case.

I am going to hope that the Sharks vs. Red Wing game slotted in 770 and 771 are mistakes. I set the DVR to record the HD feed on 771 but it doesn't start to 4:30. I'll call the wife at 4pm also.

My Directv guide was just updated about 2 hrs ago with the game on channel 770 and 770-1 for HD, it will be the NESN feed. They moved the Sharks-Wings to 771. It's on. Directv customer support has no idea, don't bother with them.

I have dish network at work and versus, but not channel 449. Its not even listed. Is that for CI only subscribers or something?

I am a center ice subscriber, but don't think that channel was limited to center ice people. It's one of those channels that are listed as "Sport alternate" that the show an occasonal overflow game on and typically are blacked out for most people. The had versus coverage on that, which basically played the CSN Philly play by play with the versus intermission reports. In the Dish guide it was lised as "flyers at bruins" while the center ice feed on 627 was listed "philadelphia at boston".

I'd keep an eye on those alternate channels on wednesday, as it might show up there like the one today did.
