Vancouver Canucks' victory in Chicago VERSUS(HD), CBC(HD), RDS(HD) RADIO: TEAM 1040

VANCOUVER CANUCKS

Vs
Chicago Blackhawks

Lineup for Canucks (My guess)
Daniel Sedin - Henrik Sedin - Mikael Samuelsson
Mason Raymond - Ryan Kesler - Alex Burrows
Pavol Demitra - Kyle Wellwood - Steve Bernier
Michael Grabner - Rick Rypien - Jannik Hansen
ex: Tanner Glass

Alex Edler - Sami Salo
Shane O'Brien - Christain Ehrhoff
Andrew Alberts - Kevin Bieksa
ex: Lawrence Nycholat

Roberto Luongo
Andrew Raycroft

Vancouver Canucks
Updated Player Pos Injury Expected Return
Nolan Baumgartner D Leg Questionable for Game 1 of Western Conference semifinals
Alexandre Bolduc C Shoulder IR. Doubtful for Western Conference semifinals
Willie Mitchell D Concussion IR. Questionable for Western Conference semifinals
Aaron Rome D Undisclosed Questionable for Game 1 of Western Conference semifinals

Well, this is the first time i done a playoff GDT, hopefully its not the last one that i made this season for the Canucks. The team has nothing to lose and I still believe that the Canucks will have a strong game, win or lose i just want them to at least put the effort to compete with the Hawks. The team just needs to be better on pk and Luongo would have to step it up big time for the team, otherwise we only need to improve our powerplay, 5 on 5 play, and physical play.

RIP Canucks choker
The Canucks that we have known on Friday, who also known as the chokers were found dead in GM Place today.

In another news, a good and confident canucks group were spotted in Vancouver airport going to Chicago with their shaving curse removed.

Luongo:"My wife has reminded me of the curse and i decided to shave it, now i might or might not able to make a save against Patrick Kane."

Henrik Sedin:"Vancouver_2010 in hfboards has reminded me why i want to play hockey when i was a little kid, not to choke but to win! He also taught me the art of broken English and nonsense would be way more effective than our cycling game, so before i trash talk any chicago players, i would ask myself, what would Vancouver_2010 said in this situation? I am pretty sure that would make Dustin Byfuglien confused and distracted throughout the game."

Denial Sedin:"I would to thank Vancouver_2010 for getting Gillis to sign us, Mike read his comments every single day and act the opposite of what he said, thats what get us the 6 million dollars contract!"

Ryan Kesler was not available for comments

Predicted scoring:
5-3 Canucks with Henrik scoring a hat trick on the empty net

The birth of the new playoff tradition
After this playoff, the new playoff tradition would to be shave your beard before the post-season started, shave it so much that your cheek would act like a light bulb.
BELIEVE THE POWER OF SHAVING!!!!!

15-2 Canucks....is the shot count after 1 period and we'll be down 2-0. All Canucks fans destroy their TV's to later find out the Canucks win 3-2 in overtime.

Perfect GDT for what's gonna be the last game of the season.

I guess this will be a somber GDT come tomorrow, I've already set my sights on my first summertime in Van city! More to life than just hockey..

If we win, yippe and game six will be interesting..

12 - 2 Chicago

Bieksa own goal hattrick.
Kane hattrick
Toews hattrick
Byfuglien hattrick

Wellwood 2 and 1 goal called off over a dubious kick in.

PK gets scored on 9 times.

PP goes 0 for 17

Bieksa's leg tendon gets slashed again
Kesler breaks a finger
Daniel Sedin's back spasms go nuts
Burrows breaks a toe
Grabner tears achilles tendon playing soccer
AV loses eight teeth from a stray puck hitting him in the face
Ryan Johnson is made to look foolish when he goes down early to block shots.

I don't understand why California is molesting Illinois, but it's nice reading something that isn't totally nihilistic, OP.

A small part of me is hopeful, at least for one more game. This team has shown too much character this season to let Chicago get away with a 5 game series.

I want them to win and win in OT. That'll give them the confidence they need... not a blow out win like Detroit had, not a dominant win... but a tide turning win.

COME ON!!!!

Goaltender sounds like he thinks he could do better but he's blaming the d-men. the d-men are blaming the goaltender.

Though they both may deserve the blame, they've got to step it up.
I'm not very confident about this.

I imagined all of these things happening in the same play and I laughed. If only I could put it into Photoshop.
...Burrows would be snapping his head back.

Well maybe it's a sign for the next round.

Anyways, just win Canucks. I've lost faith though, and I am prepared myself as much as I can to see it all end tomorrow. Of course I'll still watch the whole dang game anyway.

the positive side of this is that gillis didn't trade away any draft picks because he knews this team had no chance of beating the blackhawks

maybe we will get lucky and patrick kane will let us pass into the next round

6-3 Hawks. Vancouver will completely shrink away from this challenge. The sad part is that the skill is there. It's just something about these guys that the Nucks can't shake.

Probably. I bet the guy never even had a concussion. The whole thing smelt fishy to me from the get-go.

But anyways, I think the Canucks have a chance if they score first... or don't give up a goal seconds or minutes into the game. Just play hard, that's all I ask. Do not bend over and take it up the arse.
