What did Belarus do? Throw something?

IIHF says: Throwing a Stick or any Object Game misconduct penalty

Just as an aside, as a Toronto Maple Leafs fan I was unimpressed with number 16 Stefanovich. He skated well, but without purpose. He was mostly invisible, never really threatened, and had only a couple of shots.

An important win for getting into the quarterfinals.

Btw tonight is the 8 years anniversary of a very important day in the recent history of Slovakia.

Nice to celebrate with such an important win! Thanks for fighting boys!! Keep it going.

It´s just like the WJC all over for him. Tons of chances, but the finishing needs to get better. Maybe against Kazakhstan, he deserves it.

First IIHF victory for Glen Hanlon as coach of Slovakia. Great effort today by Richard Panik. It looks like he is going to be a player. Saw him play a couple times in the CHL, he is wildly inconsistent but when interested he seems to have the potential to be a difference maker.

last time blr defeated svk it was mezin who decided the game. this time all praises go to budaj. a rock-solid goalie is what really makes the difference.

Belarus played nice attacking style hockey, some of your players have great hands. Good luck vs Russia

thnx, same to your team vs kaz. i always like the way our teams clash on the ice. every time they meet, there's always a tough game with no ugly score or one-way traffic.

Kolosov, don't know, wasn't paying attention.

Tatar was well okay, but nothing special I would say. On most of the shifts, you would notice him on the ice, which is a good thing. He did seem confident, maybe a bit too much even, to the point where he sometimes stick handled through traffic when he could've distributed the puck. Overall he had a good game but I can definetely see him doing a lot more in the games to come.

Panik, the other young draftee from the Slovak team was outstanding if anyone was wondering. He could've easily had two goals if things went his way and was a dominant force on the ice.

Tatar´s line is kinda frustrating to watch a bit. IMO they can close pretty much any opponent in his own zone, but Tatar and even more so Dravecký play with the puck too much and they´ve already missed a few glorious chances when they were stickhandling the puck instead of passing. Also Bulík needs to get used to the higher tempo than Extraliga. But I expect them to get better as the tourney goes by.

Nice to see Panik playing well... can't wait to see him in a Bolts uniform!
