Oh man, all the penalties... so undisciplined by Denmark.

looks like this is going to be a well-deserved win for Germany.

Comment by Erich Goldmann on Sport1 as the Finnish spectator snatched the puck in the stands "quick reaction, atypical for a Fin at that time of the day"

your team looks tired. most penalties were because of being one step too late. i guess the big wins in the past 2 games took some energy. especially the NHLers are invisible today.

but i'm sure the next game they will go 100% again.

So let me get this straight, if USA beats Finland tonight we already have 5 pts going into the qualification round?

I'm still going to root for Finland though, because I really like them.

Yes, and Germany was very good at shutting them down. I guess 2 days rest will give an important boost.

Well done by Germany and well deserved win, a bit too easy to my liking. Denmark was totally dominated physically for the last 55 minutes.

Hopefully Finland can beat USA tonight so this doesnt turn out completely horrible for Denmark

I hope too Finland beats USA but Denmark is in the qualification round no matter how the result of the Finland-USA game will be.

There will be either Finland or USA in the relegation round, if Finland wins USA if USA wins Finland, hopefully not.

Well it was a good game. I'm glad that Germany won and I'm happy that Denmark has to eat their words now.

so, if usa beats finland, then germans take 5 points to next round, and if finland beats usa, then denmark take 5 points for next round, right ?

I don't think so, AFAIK
USA wins -> Germany 5 points(3 vs. Denmark, 2 vs. USA), Denmark 2 (vs. USA), USA 2 (vs. GER, DEN)

FIN wins -> DEN, GER, FIN 3 points (DEN vs. FIN, GER vs. DEN, FIN vs. GER)

Edit: Thanks Brian, lots of errors in the original post ;-)

If FIN wins then Denmark only get 3 points to next round from beating Finland

Yes, if USA wins against Finland Germany takes 5 points to the next round because Finland would play in the relegation round and the loss of Germany against Finland doesn't count anymore if I'm not wrong. USA would begin qualification round with 2 points and Denmark with 2 points because Denmark won against USA in overtime.

But if Finland beats USA then Germany, Finland and Denmark take all 3 points to the next round, because Germany won against Denmark, Denmark against Finland and Finland against Germany. If I'm not wrong the teams only take the points to the next round from the games against the teams which could qualifiy for the next round.

You're right about that, but if USA wins, Denmark would only take 2 points, because they won in OT

Disappointed, but I'm sure the Danes will be well prepared for the next game.

I didn't really hear anything before the game, but apparently some of the Danish players made some comments which indicated that they considered themselves the much better team compared to Germany.

Didn't really bother me.

Some quotes by your coach:
"The Germans can't score, if we score twice we'll win"
"We beat the USA and the Finns and Germany is not even close to them"

To be honest, before the game I would have agreed with him on this two points

Most of us would have.

Although we were much closer to USA and Finland in this tournament. But who's fault is that.
