Following up Thurs. news, Gagne is playing. Walking with a slight limp. Did not skate this morning.

I wish I wasn't so nervous. Winning this game would so unspeakably awesome, I've been trying to not even think about it. I mean, I can't imagine anything much more awesome outside of winning the Cup. And even that, winning the Cup would be the ultimate of course, but someone wins that every year.....this though, being only the 3rd team ever in the entire frigging history of the NHL to accomplish this feat.

Don't think Boston would approve of this:

Gotta love Rasheed

I remember in '04 he was doing a post game interview after a Piston's playoff win and in the middle of being asked a question he started yelling "THAT'S GAME BABY! THAT'S GAME!". Apparently they had the Flyers-Leafs game on in the lockerroom and Roenick scored the OT goal that clinched that series.

'Sheed stayed true to his roots, like a real human being should. Hopefully he ends his career with the Sixers. Hopefully he kicks Kobe in the nuts in the finals.

Haha, yep, I remember that too, great stuff.

GKJ, Is that 'Sheed pic you just posted a recent one? It'd be amazing if he's been wearing that in Celtic post game interviews right now.

Which is exactly what I've seen people doing. I just thought it interesting. I expected more changes for last game. Game 7 to start tweaking the lineup is cutting it close, don't you think?

Going to the watch party tonight. It's hard to tear myself away from my HD screen at home, but I was at the Wachovia for game 6 and want to be a part of some energy tonight.

Anyone done one of these before? Actually, have the Flyers ever done one before? So pumped.

More on Gagne:

http://www.csnphilly.com/05/14/10/Fl...764&feedID=695

Quote:
BOSTON – Simon Gagne said he is feeling fine and will play Friday night in Game 7.

The Flyers’ winger, who has been playing with a surgically repaired right toe, was reported to have either fallen or taken a shot off his foot early in Game 6. Video from the game shows him falling hard to the ice.

“I don’t know where it came from,” Gagne said. “I’m OK. I didn’t practice yesterday because it’s just a practice. It gave me time between games to heal and get better. I will play tonight, and that’s what I’m here for.”

There was never a question about whether he would be available to play Friday night, he said.

“Since I’m back, it’s getting better and I’m getting better every day and that’s the way it is,” Gagne said. “You’re going to have to play through pain in the playoffs. And I’m not the only one - that’s part of it. But for me now, the longer we’re going to go in the playoffs, the better I’m going to feel.”

It is funny you say that because as an Electrical Engineer doing research for a Masters I think the Discovery Channel has alot of bad science in their programs.

Not because they are necessarily wrong, but because they dumb things down for a certain audience and alot of important things are lost in translation.

Well of course. It can't possibly be that we got back one of our best two-way forwards and sniper in Gagne at the same time. Nah, it has to be the loss of Krejci.

Boston, to their credit, did not play that bad the other night. They didn't play that bad in Game 4. Game 5 they did lay an egg. It might be cutting it close, but this is why a coach is paid to coach, and find the right buttons to push.
