2-1 Finland.
Aaltonen and Miettinen score.
Ugarov was awesome with his skating and energy in the olympics and will be dangerous with more icetime. I believe he will score on a magnificient pass from Grabovski.

Hahl or Hytonen should be replaced by Lehterä..
But at least Osala is playing and Santala isn't.

I don't think Lehterä is one bit better in that kind of role than Hahl nor Hytönen. Those guys can skate better and have had better games than Lehterä.

I also don't know why you prefer Lehterä over Hahl and Hytonen. Lehterä couldn't impress me too, he hasn't showed better performance than Hahl or Hytonen so far. Additionally this game the Finns have to win anyway otherwise they don't deserve the quarterfinal. The deciding game for the quarterfinal for the Finns should be Monday against Slovakia.

Mezin is still a really good goalie at this level. I have no idea why he has no NHL stint in his past.

Belorussians seem to have NO confidence with the puck, giving it away constantly. But it doesn't look like Finland wants to capitalize too much on that o.O

Smart play by Jussi, challenging Mezin behind the net. No goal yet though

Well. Mezin is the best goalie Finland has faced this far. By quite a bit.

First period ended 0-0.
Finland with 12 shots, Belarus with 5.
Some good tendencies, especially from Kapanen and Immonen(!).

Finland controlled most of the play, they just couldn't find the net. One post and a break away chance for Kapanen.
