Checking out some stats and A.K plays pretty well against the flyers
That's what I mentioned to someone earlier today.
Not sure Leighton can pull a Biron this time around. And we don't have an injured/rookie Price in net.
Oh yeah, and Subban played 40 minutes against Philly this season, and not a single goal went into the Habs net when he was on the ice. And the Habs team the Flyers went up against this season is not the same team, as they now have chemistry and have bought into the system.
this is serious ammo against boston. serious and long, long, long lasting.
how may teams are going to play the choke card when it comes to trash talk vs. the bruins? answer: every team.
every team in every league will be able to say, "nobody choked, gagged, and strangulated themselves like the 2010 Boston Bruins. they wore black that night to suit the occasion. i saw the game. everyone did. everybody watched. everybody saw. the greatest asphyxiation by a sports team ever broadcast on television in modern history. and if they didn't watch it they'll hear about it for about 20 yrs.
that's how i'll remember it. the night boston's balls dropped off.
This is the general consensus. I think they're emotionally and physically drained from this come back. Habs have played more games, but if you look at the huge minutes the Philly D log per game, and the style of game their entire team plays, I think we can take this is in 5 or 6
and if you go back to the islander team that came back from 3-0... they also went down 3-0 in the very next series (although they came back to tie it at 3).
So yeah, maybe the habs can jump on them in the first few games, and hopefully, they dont let them back up.
anyone catch rasheed wallace decked out in flyers colours at the game? Something tells me that this wont go over well in beantown.
I just checked, he's born in Philly. I think it would've been a lot worse for him at home if they saw him wearing a Bruins jersey.
Same weirdness as last year when Bill Cowher almost gave himself a heart attack spinning that siren in Carolina, AGAINST the Pens. Only difference is Cowher was born in Crafton Pennsylvania (but attended NCSU).
If we sit back it could be dangerous, they have a very good offence,if we take it to them we will succed
well we never seem to dictate the pace. same thing will happen this series, the difference is philly got good finishers. it's gonna come down to halak and staying healthy. they're gonna try to injure some of our guys for sure

these players will never be the same.
Personally, I'm still chortling with glee.
They love to rub in the 2nd overall pick, so this will be a nice incentive to have them keep their mouths shut.
You're right, this may actually be the biggest choke in sports history. At the very least in hockey history.
Astounding. The Bruins were playing at home and had a 3-0 lead in games, which is comparable to a 20-meter lead in a 100-meter race. They had a 3-0 lead in goals in game 7, which is comparable to a 10-meter lead. What comes to mind is not so much the 2 other series in which the leader blew a a 3-0 edge (Detroit losing to Toronto and Pittsburgh losing tothe Islanders) but the fable of the hare and the tortoise, which IMO is even worse. Well, bears do hibernate.
