Thats not true. If Kovy doesnt re-sign i would have no problem with Tedenby being the 2nd line LW. I think Zubrus is a Better RW or C then LW and Rollie is slipping into a Defensive Forward with PP ability so him being on the LW side on the 3rd line is fine.

Without any addtions

Parise Zajac Zubrus
Tedenby Elias Langs
Rollie Josefson Clarkson
Leblond Pelley Zharkov/or someother AHL guy/Peters

Might be weak but its possible if Lou really feels they are ready and that opens up a ton or money for the D also

If they both make the team, I would hope they'd play together. We already have the Wonder Twins, now we could have the Vunder Tvins too. Clarkson or Zubrus could be an ideal RW for that line.

I'm also curious what numbers they'd get. Tedenby has worn #10 before, and he certainly wouldn't be able to get #9. Pelley has #10, but we don't know if he'll be re-signed. Josefson probably won't get #40. Maybe #14?

Our AHL affiliate is now in Albany, so you're right, he won't make Lowell.

I think he will go to the AHL next season. There's no reason to leave him in the WHL for another year, he's proved what he needs to there.

Yayo get Pandolfo's 20 (more realistically Lou like #25 to be a center see: Nieuendyk, Arnott so hopefully Peters will be dumped)

Boo and Henrique - toss up for #14. Henrique wore that in Windsor I think and Boo is sized like Gionta.

I think he is going to get a long hard look in this years training camp.

Problem is, he is going to have a lot of comeptition with Eckford, Corrente, Fraser who are more seasoned.

From Rich Chere's article at nj.com:

“We have, in my opinion, three top players coming in-- Adam Henrique, Josefson and Tedenby,” Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello said. "They're not going to surprise anyone here if they make the team."

Looks like Lou got Josefson under contract in the nick of time:

Glad Lou was able to get it done.

Im crossing my fingers, especially for Tedenby. He is probably the fastest swedish hockey player at the moment, and have a fantastic technique. He could be a crowd favourite in NJ.

Some more info from TG

Quote:
Josefson had agreed to a one-year extension with Djurgardens. As part of the NHL’s new transfer agreement with the Swedish Elite League, the Devils had until June 15 to sign him or he would have returned to Djurgardens to fulfill his contract.

Tedenby was not under contract for next season for HV 71.

Defenseman Matt Delahey (fourth round, 112th overall) is the Devils’ only 2008 draft pick that remains unsigned. If he does not sign by June, he will re-enter the 2010 draft.

With Tedenby and Josefson signed, Lamoriello can now move on to other business such as trying to re-sign potential unrestricted free agents Ilya Kovalchuk and Paul Martin.

“It’s a process and we’ll take one thing at a time,” Lamoriello said
Lamoriello has yet to begin his search for a replacement for head coach Jacques Lemaire, who retired from coaching after the Devils were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by Philadelphia. With Lamoriello’s evaluation of the season and what went wrong nearly complete, that could begin by the end of next week

11 for Josefson, clearly McAmmond or Niedermayer aren't coming back, so 11 will be open.

Wow, Lou thinks both Henrique and Josefson could make it this year? I guess we actually might be going with the youth movement this season.

Maybe we could move Tedenby to Center

I think it is Lou speak in regards to all 3. He said similar things last year about several players and only Bergfors made it out of camp.

This makes me wonder, given his success with the kids in Lowell this past season, if Maclean might be in the lead for the head coaching job. Just thinking out loud here. Oh yeah, this is a message board, that's what it's here for. Heh.

Maybe, but honestly these are higher quality players than the guys we thought would make it last season. Two Swedish first rounders who have impressed in a men's league, and the OHL playoff MVP. All with possible top 6 potential. Maybe not all 3 will make it, but they have a better chance than guys in previous years, especially if Lou deals some veterans this summer.
