Lets go Germany! They win, they're in the next round, but Denmark will definately put up a fight.

Kim Staal and Jesper Duus is resting and out of the lineup.
Kasper Degn will take Staals spot on the 3rd line.

3rd line: Degn Green Jakobsen
4th line: Lykkeskov Dresler Sundberg

May the best time win.

This is going to be one hard fought game. Hopefully Denmark can pull it off.

FYI Kim Staal wont play this game, so Kasper Degn will go to the 3rd line and Kim Lykkeskov and Alexander Sundberg will be wings on the 4th line.

Daniel Kreutzer was added to the German team and will play alongside Alex Barta and Sven Felski on Germany's third line according to the print version of the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger.

I'm rooting for Denmark, but at the same time hoping Germany would do well in their home tournament. I also think the Germans may well take this one.

Only if we win in regulation. If we win in OT or shootout and USA wins against Finland in OT or shootout. Germany would still be heading to relegation round despite winning 2 games.

Another weird scenario would be if we lose in regulation against Denmark and Finland wins against USA in OT or shootout. Then USA would advance to the qualification round even though they would have lost all three games.

Denmark usually has two straight wins over Germany, no?

I hate to say this as I hope for Germany being one of the top teams in the near future... But I hope denmark wins this one.

On paper Germany is the better team, but Denmark plays a style which Germany might have problems with from a similar level team.

I'd go with 2-1 or 2-0 in favor of Denmark. This should be a low scoring game once again, since we cannot score and the Danes don't have to.

Well in Vancouver they played a better offence 4 on 5 compared to their 5 on 5 play

After all those stupid penalties at the beginning I feared for the worst. But then our boys from Nashville scored on the PP.

So despite the bad beginning not a bad first period. If they keep playing like that for the rest of the game and still finish last in the group it's tough but you cannot blame them for not trying.

Not a good period from Denmark after the good start, definately Germany in control. Hopefully Denmark will be better in the last 2 episodes or Germany will win for sure.

I am confident Denmark can step it up though.

Score that goal, good god!!! I really wish Krupp would have added Gawlik instead of Kreutzer, a creative forward like him is something we desperalty miss, 2 way players who can't score on WC, we have enough.
