RT @susanslusser OF Khris Davis will be in #Athletics-#Brewers deal. Other specifics unknown. I'm standing on a dock so might hand off to @JohnSheaHey.

Hate giving up Nottingham, but Davis has an ops above .800 and is under control until 2019. Besides his K rates i'm pretty happy.

don't know how i feel about this

really hate to see nottingham go. he looked like he could have maybe brought something to the table a few years down the line. and he's only 20

davis has power but his numbers will most likely fall playing on oakland

Davis isn't a good defender (probably not a big deal with the DH) and while he draws his fair share of walks, doesn't make enough contact to post a high OBP.

I like this for the Brewers. Clears a log jam in the outfield for younger players.

Probably not, but the A's have guys who can get on base, they need guys who can power them in. His almost .500 career slg % entices me.

Not a fan of losing Nottingham, but Davis brings much needed power to the team and comes with multiple years of control. So overall I like the trade.

Davis' power is nice, but he's the streakiest hitter you'll ever see in that regard. More so than your run of the mill sluggers. Still, it's your typical oakland move where they could massage the potential out of him.

Read yesterday they're trying salary dump Butler. Imo would likely need to include a prospect and eat salary to get it done.
