That's a very impressive streak even if it's only at the college level.

Kid was on fire over the weekend...until the Giants ran into Jimenez. Still, he can rake, he's got a great swing.

Yes C+H is one of my favorite webcomics, if not THE favorite. Met the authors at ComicCon
And I shake my fist at Jimenez
Giants were on a roll until they ran into him yesterday.

Buster Posey with another 2 hits last night. I've been really enjoying watching him swing the bat, he's got a beautiful swing. I haven't enjoyed watching someone hit like that since Will Clark

Wittles extended to 55 games with a double on a 3-0 count in a blowout.

The fact the Pirates refuse to call up Brad Lincoln, even with an open start in the Strasburg game, is starting to piss me off.

I figure Stanton, at least at first, is going to see his minor league walk rate go down and his K rate go back up to the 33-35%.

I'd probably have to agree with you. I just hope he doesn't turn out to be another Chris Davis.

Stanton will bat 7th tonight, a good move to keep the pressure off him. I'm gonna try to catch his at-bats between watching Strasburg.

Stanton with a single and a run.
Strasburg with 4 strikeouts on 30 pitches, with 18 for strikes. Working with a 1-0 lead. Against this Pirate lineup, 10 strikeouts wouldn't be too surprising.

Strasburg and Staton did well last night
Anyone thinking that if Wade Davis keeps struggling they'll bring up Jeremy Hellickson who's chilling in AAA and doing very well there?
Davis got obliterated by Texas in his last start and has very unimpressive ratios including a K/9 under 6 (5,95/9), a high BB/9 (4,42) and a K/BB of under 2. FIP is at 5.73 >.>
Hellickson has a 2,28 ERA in 12 starts to go with a 71-17 K to BB ratio.

Brad Lincoln and Jose Tabata will make their debuts for the Pirates tonight. Not quite Steven Strasburg and Mike Stanton, but still 2 of the 3 top prospects in the system entering the season.

And apparently Pedro Alvarez will get a callup for next home stand which starts on 15th.

In a normal week the Tabata/Lincoln with Alvarez in the near future story would be huge. This week it takes a huge backseat.

Oh that Alvarez news kinda has me giddy.
Have him in my dynasty league. Don't have insane expectations though, so I don't mind a slow start.
