I was really, really disappointed to see that. I would think a guy like Rex would just man up and admit that they blew it, not blame the officials for making what's just a black-and-white call.

It was blatantly too many men, what can you do?
They blamed the officials??? Didn't see that but that's piss poor. It was no ticky-tack call, they were legitmately playing with 6 guys. Can't see how you blame anyone other than yourself. Poor sportsmanship. Not surprised it being Rex though, he's always seemed to be a *****.

I was shocked to hear Recchi complaining about that call. There were 6 guys joining the rush. There is no way the ref couldn't call that.

To be fair about Recchi, it is probably rather hard for him to be objective at this point, his team just got kicked out of the playoffs in a game 7 after being up in the series 3-0, and up in the game 3-0. A lot of times posters here overreact over calls and they aren't even playing the game.

NHL's replay blacked out for me... Anyone else in Philly having this problem? It's not live and CSN isn't airing it right now (paid programming). Makes no sense.

They originally said 11am, but I think it's 4pm now.

It will get it's own DVD I'm sure.

The NHL Network is just a blank screen right now so I guess it is.

Chris Pronger is 400 f'ing feet tall. Richards is hugging Kimmo between Pronger's legs

(That sounds just a little dirtier than I meant)

Their coach should be commended though. The reporters were obviously trying to get him to say something against the reffing, but he told them straight. We had one extra guy on the ice ,and it was a penalty.

Thats real sportsmanship right there, and i respect him twice as much for it. Not *****ing and moaning why an automatic penalty should not be called because it's game 7. Well done claude

There are not enough words to describe how happy I am now. Didnt get on here last night, I wish I was here with you all celebrating the win. that would of been great.
I teared up a little last night after that hockey game. I said to my GF we did it! we ****ing did it!
Watched the replay as well on NESN and I think Jack Edwards and Brickey shockingly enough handled it about as well as you could of asked.
Saw and heard the post game comments from Julien. He said look we were up 3-0 in this series, and 3-0 tonight. I am not going to make any excuses. We are all accountable.

Yeah, I don't get how you can complain about that one. It wasn't a "bad change" or any of that stuff, they had 6 guys actively on the ice. It wasn't something ticky-tack like when the puck gets thrown into a change and all that type of stuff.

For what it is worth, I saw the NESN feed and Andy Brickley wrote the numbers 1 through 6 on the screen, attaching a digit to each skater. Post-game emotions are just that.

Awesome! Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but his postgame press conference was awesome. Really impressed me! He seemed very emotional saying how proud he was of his team, and how that locker room has the right players to win in situations like that. Seems like he really has an attachment to this team....I know he is the kind of coach that has a limited time with each team, but hopefully this all works and delivers us a cup before that happens!
