It sounds like chicpea might get to use "its" arsenal of campaign tricks afterall, then? If the 2 winners are going to "compete head to head", wow, do tell what that would entail? In fact, I think we should expand it from the "first 2", and maybe have a playoff-style format. I'd pay good money to see:
Gros Bill vs. mcphee
Brisebois vs. dutchy
chicpea vs. shootout
montreal vs. Darz
etc etc
in a best-of-7 Post-Off, with the winner advancing to the next round.

Aside: I think that if people are competing directly of course, they'd have to "opt-in", and would then need to accept the humiliation/honour of having the snazzy title "King of HF Habs Board" appended to their screen name.

Now that was a good one.

Take that, Dutchy!

Lafleur has informed me that I just lost 12 nominations.

Hmm... well... any details you can give on how the head-to-head phases are going to be conducted might affect how I vote on this one, then. Sorry if I'm being over-analytical here, but you know, the matchups could make all the difference in the world. And you know, the whole Nader thing comes into it too...

(Aside: I still haven't voted. Anybody want to, ahem, offer up any incentives? I don't see any clear-cut "Best Poster Available" on the board, so I'm tempted to vote "by need" instead...)

2 options:
1.the easy one first 2 will compete again head to head tomorrow
2.the complicate one, first 8 will go on a playoff format (1 with 8 2 with 7...), then winners will play semi and then final.

So if after 24 hrs we have 8 clear winners (with no more than 2 ties at the bottom) will go with the playoffs format otherwise first 2 head to head and the winner will get the title.

I can't vote for just one poster out of that group...only if I can split my vote about 4-5 ways, so instead I'll vote for someone NOT on the list, that should be in the top ten.

I vote for Gros Bill.

How come I always end up with the protest vote? Just call me "None of the above".

Personnally, i think it would be better not having just one winner, but maybe having a "Habs posters all-star team", the 6 posters who best represent the lofty ideals, the moral rectitude, the pure bravado and the outright zaniness of all habs posters here.
