The answer is obviously yes, but what they have to do is fight against every typical hockey stereotype that is used. Against Washington, we have no star firepower that can compete with Ovie, out in 4, All crosby does is win, Out in 4, Philly is just to big for the Habs, out in 4, and if they do make it too the finals the team we will play will have all of those things. If we want to win our team needs to jam it down there throats that hockey stereotypes don't always apply. I want this team to win more then ever before because I still think they can,
We know this team has the potential. Tonight was unfortunate and pitiful. We didn't play smart like our other play off games. We didn't play with that much intensity. Our D got tricked easily by their offensive. Our offensive didn't attack their net enough, shots from the boards are not dangerous.
Seriously, I noticed that this what many Flyers forwards do. They go in front of the net. One of our D goes beside him for cover. Then that forward moves away. Our D covering that spot moves away thinking he's gone. Then its another Flyers forward going in front of the net. This new guy is uncovered though because our D doesn't notice this subtle change.
Our offensive... What can I say? We had to keep a player in front of Leighton. For most of our Shots at their goalie. There was nobody near to grab the rebound. We weren't creating enough traffic either. We strive on moving around in their zone, being patient, and wait for an opening.
Tonight, we did nothing that we were supposed to do. Flyers did everything according to their game plan.
