At that price, there's no way I jump for it until it displays numerous amazing applications of the technology that demonstrate that it's a must-have.

Hopefully this is wrong and the previous sub-100 dollar figure is still how it's going to go.

It's an online retailer. They're always guessing the price for future products. A Finnish equivalent has also had a 200€ price tag since late last year. Remember how these stores had similar prices(well over the actual price) for PS3, 360 and Wii ?

Btw, Natal launch date is apparently October: http://www.vg247.com/2010/05/11/micr...project-natal/

I'm just curious what the price of video games in Sweden is. Maybe video games are just more expensive over there than they are in North America and the prices are proportional for what a more reasonable price here is for a Natal.

This. As soon as this becomes mainstream, I'll probably stop playing video games. If its anything like the Wii....

I will never pay a single cent for motion controls ever again. Not after the Wii. "Fool me once..."

michael pachter sounded pretty convinced it wouldn't be much more than $60 but he doesn't ever really seem to know what he's talking about.

True enough. There has never been a bad console out there with a controller before! (Not that I think the Wii is bad, but what a ridiculous statement).

ARGH! Motion Control! GET OFF MY LAWN!

Edge says $149, or packaged with an Arcade for $299.

Personally, I just haven't seen anything using motion control interesting enough to buy into it thus far.

Until actions games and RPGs mandate motion control, I'm sticking with non-motion controllers.

I find the ways nintendo has utilized it up until now have been fail. I admit some things like wii fit are smart ideas. But honestly try playing a shooter, I forget the name of the one I bought with my wii (the 2nd one just came out) but it was garbage to control, hated it. Walking around was a nuissance.

I'm rooting for it to be so awful it bombs completely. Then maybe companies can get the message that we don't want this crap.

Based on the reactions of just about every kind of media (not just games), I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. Practically everyone has loved it when they've gotten to try it. Even one of the few Finnish games journalists who've gotten to try it (at Games Con last Fall) was impressed with it and he has never been into motion control or Wii but said his stance had changed into more positive after trying it.

Pricey. But it seems like Sony's PS Move will cost more, so that may sway users to buy the XBOX 360 Natal bundle rather than the PS3/4 Move one (assuming there will be one, or just separately).

I haven't heard that about the Move. Theres been a few reports that the Move will be <100. It's just a glorified Wii controller, so I can't see Sony justifying such a large price discrepancy.
