They are already in the building. Most sit in the Club section, boardroom, suites and glass seats. But there are a few scattered throughout the building. I for one am happy to have them. if it weren't for pink hats the building wouldn't be filled. Every team/organization that has pink hat fans usually has them because they are playing at the top level in their respected league. Prices will likely keep going up. Just like with the Patriots...Sox and finally the Celtics. Winning comes at a cost. Most are willing to pay the price. People can say what they want about preferring to pay $10-$20 for a seat to a game with five to eight thousand fans in it. It is a completely different experience. And Boston fans have certainly proved over the last decade they will pay top dollar to see a winner.

I'm actually surprised it's not more. That fee go up another $20-$30 with out many giving two ***** about it. After all, the playoff invoices are almost as high as the entire 43 game season ticket packages. What's 15 bucks? If they win the cup. next year they may just bend us right over and ask us to take it like a champ! ...cheapest balconies will be $40-$50 and cheapest loges $80-$90...it's close than you think. Anyone remember what prices you paid to get into prior to '04?
Just logged in to see what the damage will be and my $21 seats are going to $25.
That's a 19% increase.
I knew this day was coming, but I figured it'd be a $2 increase. Yes, I know my seats are relatively inexpensive compared to most others, but I've had these for 13 seasons (they started at $15 in 1998) and it's the only way I have a chance to be a STH and go to just about all the games.
All I can say is that the Bruins organization had better damn well add some additional value to all these increases, whether it's giveaways, special opportunities and discounts.
The promise of going deep into the playoffs just doesn't cut it when your ticket prices are in the upper echelon in the league.
... but I've had these for 13 seasons (they started at $15 in 1998) and it's the only way I have a chance to be a STH and go to just about all the games...
I found a ticket stub the other day from 1963: Montreal vs. Rangers at the old Madison Square Garden (not the one that's there now). A mezzanine seat was sort of like where the club seats are at TD Garden. Cost: $3.00.
So, comparatively speaking, your $15 in 1998 was a terrific bargain.
I come in from New Hampshire so I have to add the gasoline increase to the parking lot increase, to the STH price increase, to the food/beverage increase, to get an actual cost of watching the Bruins. Then I take that total and subtract from it the identical costs to have a season ticket at the Manchester Monarchs/LA Kings, and then calculate the "supplemental value" of being in the arena with +17K (it's at least 25% more fun --if the Bruins can score a few goals per game, which they couldn't do last year).
I have not received my STH e-mail yet, but everyone on this thread is making me nervous.
So now there is no price difference to see them shoot once, compared to seeing them shoot twice.
I went from 21 to 25 in Section 309
Friend from 18 to 25 in 325
The 2nd row seats in the end they shoot once have been the same price as the 2nd row seats in the end they shoot twice for some time ($28). But now the 2nd row seats in the shoot one time end are $35. That makes sense to me. They obviously decided the cheapest seas in the house were gonna be $25 each across the board. And when it gets beyond the first two rows of the balcony on the ends, they aren't going to differentiate any longer. But they are still happy to charge a premium for the shoot 2 times end down in the loge
My rep says I am +$3 a game to $35. So that means I will have to sell four games at face value to recoup the jacked-up charge.
My guess is that I will have to pay several more dollars in parking/food fees, also.
I think it is still "reasonable." But I am not getting any younger, and the drive down gets more and more jammed every year. I know you come from Laconia.
What do you think?
I forgot you paid $32 instead of $28 since you downgrade. Still a decent value overall imo.
The drive will always suck. I love it up in the lake region. As I get older the drive does seem to get longer some how. If I was in Concord or Manchester it wouldn't be quite as bad. But the last half hour north of Concord is the worst. i'd eventually like to get a place on the outskirts. Stoneham area maybe. It would make my Boston sports addiction much more enjoyable.
