Ovechkin has not been very good. Semin can't buy a goal.

So Canada is down 3-0, where is MacTavish's gameplan to at least try to tie?

Laich needs some more pp time, that was a major bailout by Tavares in the corner there.

Why do Russia get all their best players to play in these tournaments? I heard somewhere that Abramovitch is donating some serious money to the players making the effort. Is that true?

This year? If I choked in the olympics and the NHL playoffs I would want another chance to win something as well.

Seriously, i am embarrased by the swedish officiating... Anyway, Russia would win either way, it's just that Lärking isn't used to fast and intensive play. Tragic.

Congrats Russia, your'e through.

All these chances now for Canada, should have done this in the beginning instead of being so defensive. The best defense is a strong offense., just like in the Olympic game. I thought we would come out flying, but we were totally bunker and counter style. Mac Tavish's stupid game plan won't work against Russia.

There's now way this Canadian team is going to score after 3-0, Russians are just getting defensive. Canada is giving all this room now because they have to come back, leaving open ice, and Russia makes them pay 4-0.

Text book.
