I couldn't care less about Corey Perry and I am sure he knows he got put on his rear end on a good hockey play.

Canada hits the post on a rebound, Varlamov with a good first save.

WJC is no longer the best of best either. Last year Sweden missed two of their best players in hedman and karlsson, and this year we will likely lose MPS and OEL to NHL.

Common guys. I'll give Russia credit overall. Their players chose to go. A lot of Canadas didn't. Can't dwell on that. Canada has had some great chances and haven't converted. Russia has.

You know when Mason Raymond and Rene Bourque are on your team, you're in trouble.

Stamkos looks good when he tries to do it all himself. He needs to be more selfish.

That might be the turning point. The Swedish announcers said it was a weak call on Stamkos negating the 2 minute advantage going into the 2nd. Canada gets a weak call on a slash, Russia goes 5-3 pp, then by 17th minute it's 2-0 Russia.

The other way could have been 1-0 Russia by the 18th minute, if it was no Stamkos power play.

I didn't watch the 1st, but this 2nd period Raymond has been really effective, his speed on this size of ice is invaluable

Great pace right now! First Russia with a 2on1 and then Canada with a 3on2, and a 3on1 for Canada. Canada has had enough chances to score but haven't so far. They aren't finding the rebounds yet. Varlamov has been good.

Refs are missing some calls here. Hopefully they let them play a little.

Canada is going to get a ton of these missed chances, and then Russia is going to score another softie. I've seen this script before.
