Yea...who has ever heard of the BPA model of drafting. Oh yea...I forgot, this is hfboards so all guys in rounds 1-3 are pencilled into starting lineups right away.

Buffalo is still looking to trade back in the 1st round for more picks later in the draft. If no offers are received, Buffalo will make its selection around 11am EST.

EDIT: Sorry, guys, had plans come up and have to leave earlier than expected, so I'm just going to make the pick. Have a great weekend.

With the 23rd pick in the 2010 NHL Draft, the Buffalo Sabres are proud to select, from the Moose Jaw Warriors, Quinton Howden

We really liked Quinton's package of size, speed, skill and two-way ability. We think he's a guy who'll successfully play in all three phases of the game. He's a real burner, too, and can create a lot of separation if given open ice. We love his willingness to crash the net, too. The pick gives us a much-needed center for our organizational pipeline. Overall, we're very happy with the pick.

(Next GM will be PM'ed)

Like I said, if Campbell is available to Boston come June, they won't take him. BPA only goes so far. Most teams from 15-30 are already looking at a position of need. Especially this year since the only sure bet is in the top 2. Who said anything about players being pencilled into lineups?

It wouldnt surprise me either, but this is a mock draft not a "what do you think they will do" draft. Quite frankly I have little faith in the current Bruins braintrust making the correct pick. Thankfully at #2 they are locked into making one good one. The rest is up in the air.

Yeah it's a mock draft but you have to educate your self on your hockey team's system and what it needs. Once you draft you cannot ask for a redo. You should of went for scoring depth not goaltending depth. You got extremley lucky when the Oiler's picked Seguin.

Dont worry little fella, I have forgotten more about this sport than you will likely ever know. So thanks for the heads up....but I am walking out of the first round with a franchise winger and a franchise goalie. Sorry I didnt pick a potential second line winger at 15, but I went BPA.

I gotta side with Boston you pick with team need after the first round or when its close. When you single out a B-A-P you gotta take him

If we're truly doing BPA, it has to be Dylan McIlrath. He's #17 on Central Scouting's list of NA skaters, while Tinordi is #38. Give the Sharks McIlrath.
