Joe Corvo...UFA

I know this wont be popular but he made 2.6 last year and would be a good filler. Played 17 to 19 minutes. This seems more of the price range we need if we go after a high scoring winger. Discuss......

He has offensive skills...that said, I don't need the stress of seeing him play in the defensive zone. No thank you.

He wouldn't be a bad option if others fall through. He can move the puck and would be good on the point for a 2nd powerplay unit.

Still feel like this maybe the way we go, good value for the price. I did not mind Joe to bad. It's not like he beat me up of anything.

I have noticed Corvo has more of a fire when he plays than when he played here.

He wasn't exactly a difference maker for Washington after they acquired him.

We already have Stoll to miss the net from the point.

I'm not saying sign the guy. I am just saying that there has been noticeable improvement in his game since he left.

Not to the point where he'll help the Kings. Must we repeat the Randy Jones process? The Kings need someone who isn't too flashy with the puck that can play defense and be paired up with JJ.

Dang, that's what I was going to say.

He'd be an upgrade over Jones but that's not saying much.

One of Hickey, Voynov or Muzzin can't be worst than Jones and Corvo, can they?

Not sure what you were trying to link to but Corvo wasn't on the ice in that video...

Not sure if the right video is playing, but it should be from October 15, 2005. Scroll to the 4th page of Maltby's highlights, it is the very last video. Corvo was the one who made that tape-to-tape pass to Kirk Maltby. I was at the game. Not sure why the link didn't work. Dumb NHL Gamecenter site.

It WAS a pretty tape to tape pass, though...

Some NHL GM will give him 4 million a year. Every NHL team is looking for offense from the blue line, Corvo is hitting the market at the right time.

The Kings would probably be the first NHL team to mandate all their players must wear full face shields.
