Equal game so far.
Vokoun good so far.
Ovechkin and Semin should not be in this wc.

Malkin should had scored in that pp...afinogenov with two good chances but he is a pathetic finnisher.

Next goal will be very important. If it is 2:0 for us i will start to believe that we can win this because Russians will press the panic button (I hope).

datsyuk didn't seem too shocked about the outcome, almost like he knew.

After all these years, Jagr is still a beast. One of the best to ever play the game.

Man the Russian team is impressive. Though having four powerplays in a row and not scoring will come back to bite the Russians...yay us!!!

yeah, czech rep can always score a second .......russia defense is worst than czech rep one.

Good calls on czech rep penalties apart from the second.

Everybody keeps talking about Crosby, Ovechkin and Malkin as the big three - am I the only one who believe that Datsyuk is the best over all forward in the game of hockey?

He had a somewhat disapointing season in the NHL, but he dictates the flow of the game more than anyone whenever he's on the ice.

Ovechkin looks brutal.

Well, i dont think its equal but Czech team knew they are going to be under presure. We play very defensively (deliberately) and trying to find some space for quick breaks.

ya, I think it's just you....Datsyuk is good, but not in the same class as Crosby,Ovechkin or Malkin.

I still cant understand how he can create goal chances sometimes with 2 man on his back and stick in one hand.

i'm not one to compare players to players, but he is quite underrated. though quite a few russian players talk about datsyuk having the best hands in hockey.

A question to Czech users- does this game have a political context? I mean, whenever Latvia is facing Russia, we do (unfortunately) remember history etc. Games against Russia are never the same as against Finland or Sweden, for instance.

I can take games against Sweden political at any time, with reference to long forgotten history and today's affairs

I kind of agree. He is not as flashy as say Ovechkin but he is damn efective.

GOAL!!!
