With a team effort like today, Germany could really have a shot at bronze.

But to be honest, today`s game was probably the hardest (and best) game ever for the team. If you looked into their faces during the post-game interviews you could see how disappointed they were. I know they have no reason to be, noone expected them to even have a shot at a win.

But losing the most important game in their career just 2 minutes before OT could be devastating for their fighting spirit. Also i don`t know if the few hours will be enough for them to recover properly from today`s fight.

I know that Sweden has the same "back to back" problem but their players have a lot more individual class and quality.

Hope i`m wrong though

By the way, why can`t i vote in the polls? I read the FAQ but didn`t find an answer. Do you have to have a certain number of postings?

You need to have been registered for three months.

Germany can win for sure. BÅG will definitely do his best to make that happen. Maybe pull the goalie at 2-2?

We'll see.

At least this team goes into every game trying to win instead of not losing too high.

Germany winning a medal would be the hockey event of the season. I'm rooting for you.

Why isn't Jochen Hecht playing?? He's one of their best wingers.

I assume Marco Sturn is still playing with the Sharks right?

Someone please post the stream for the game.

Sturm is injured for the next 6 months and he`s playing for the Bruins nowadays . Hecht is in treatment for a hand injury. We could really need them both though, because our offense sucks big time, in fact any offense player would do.

Hey, four junior players along with some other guys have a shot at adding a WC medal to their resumes. And they'll be facing a team that's supported by a really impressive crowd.

Hope our team rewards itself with the Bronze medal. While the loss yesterday was heartbreaking, seeing this amazing team finish the tournament without a medal would be even more cruel.

Just like Denmark could win, yeah. In theory I suppose thats true but the Germans will not win today or any time in the near future against Team Sweden. Even with a half-decent effort our lads should win that game quite comfortable. Considering the impotent offense of the Germans, scoring two goals should suffice, and I think thats doable.

To be honest i`m a little afraid that we could get destroyed like Switzerland. I know it was a different Swiss team because they had nothing to lose (or win) in that game. If we play on the same level as every other game in this tournament we can make it a close one against the Swedes, too. But after yesterday`s game...

i just don`t think the Germans can give 100% today. Please prove me wrong, Uwe

It wouldn't suprise me to see Germany win this one. Germany will definately fight for their lives to win this medal. The swedes will most likely still be disappointed about the loss yesterday and won't be very interested in this game.

Hopefully I'm wrong because the young players in the swedish team deserve a medal after their performance in this tournament.

Germany might as well win this. It'd be cool for them to do it on home ice. It's gold or bust for Sweden.

Ah, my two favorite tems fighting for one medal, it suck's that there has to be a dissapointed loser.

For once I will root against Sweden now, normally I wouldn't do it even against Germany, but after this tournement it's such a great chance for the German team that may never come again (at least not in the next 34 years ).

Germans could be more tired before this match... they played hard until the end yesterday. On the other hand, Swedes seemed to be resting for this game during the end of the third period and OT

Two dissappointed teams but the Germans are gutted - hell I am gutted after watching them manage the puck for 58 minutes they turn a puck over at the blue for the winner.

I would say the Swedes will care and care a bunch about grabbing a medal. This is a group of guys without guarantees of being in the National team setup so they will want to get a medal which was no sure thing coming in.

Go Germany - I hope Gogulla bounces back with another winner

Rooting for Germany, I think they got a good chance.

3-1, Goc scores a hat trick.

Our players will probably care. Lots of juniors and players that play for contracts. I can see this game being a reaction for the Germans after yesterday with little rest. No Swedish player has been matched as hard as Germany's best ones. But we'll see, it could go either way and I honestly don't care if we grab the bronze or not.
