Really the only good thing that working out does for you is drops 250 calories for an hour of intense cardio and boosts your matabolism for 2 more hours. Weight training will boost your matabolism for an additional 4 hours. A 300 lb person who does this 4 days a week will lose a net 600 calories a day. If they take in 2500 calories a day they still gain weight.

Stop hating on fat people. I joined weight watchers, and I've already lost some weight. We're trying jerks. Trying to reverse years of bad habits takes a LOT of effort.

I did P90X for a month and only lost 5 pounds, but didn't really watch what I ate. I mean, I ate healthy stuff (and still do generally) but didn't watch how much I ate. I was working out hard too.

Does anybody know if they are going to play past Kings games from the season? I would think so. I just haven't heard anything.

I'm desperate over here.

It also depends on when you eat not just what you eat and how much. You definitely want to avoid eating anything 3-4 hours prior to going to sleep.

Once you get them horizontal they are all about the same height.
I always thought that girls had an issue dating shorter men, but guys didn't care as much about height. Of course I am 6,2" so maybe most girls are shorter than I am.

Definitely agree with this. I've lost like 60 pounds within the last like 12-15 months. I work out like 3-4 times a week but I mainly watch what I eat and only drink water. I try to stay between 1600-1800 calories per day and its worked so far. Before I started doing this I was working out alot more but also eating more and the weight wasn't coming off so your definitely right.

They no longer believe time of day matters. The issue is total calories. If you consume more than you burn you will gain weight.

Who's this "they" you speak of? Just watch "The Biggest Loser" and it'll tell you pretty much everything you need to know about dieting and losing weight.

Damn! I'm glad it wasn't me. Because any guy I know that got a "mild concussion" would have gone back for more. As in, "**** you!" Mild concussions always end up major ass kickings. But that depends on your back. In a pit, never good enough. It's always "I was right there dude!" Okay.

My condolences.

I have no idea how you and Shellz watch previously viewed games. Where's the fun in that?

When there is nothing on, I play one of the games. Since I know what already happens, I'm able to play more attention on the little things the players do.

Word! I don't go to the movies. I haven't seen Avatar, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and any of these other high grossing movies. They don't appeal to me at all.

Now Anchorman.. that is a good movie!

The "they" I am talking about are doctors and nutritionists. A guy from my work (whom I have never met) won Biggest loser a couple of years ago so I have seen the show. The reason some people say you shouldn't eat late is because that late meal tends to be an extra meal or a larger meal than it would be if you ate earlier.

Q. I don’t get home until late, which means I eat dinner pretty late. I’ve heard that you should stop eating after 7 p.m. to lose weight, or to avoid gaining it. I think I would starve if I didn’t eat at all—but is eating at night bad for me?

A. Eating more calories than you use all day leads to weight gain; eating fewer leads to weight loss. So, in theory, no matter when you eat them, as long as the number of calories you eat each day matches how many you burn, you won’t gain weight.

Exactly. I didn't have to hold my breath through the whole game when I would watch a second or third time.

Dang, you sound just like me. I haven't even seen any of the batman or spiderman movies in theater.

I like indies and sleeper movies.

I think you're sort of missing my point. I'm not saying don't eat after 7 pm. What I am saying is that don't eat 3-4 hours prior to sleep. So, if you sleep at midnight, have something up to 9 pm.

The quote you cut and paste it really didn't discuss my point in particular so, it's hard for me to comment. However, if you've seen the "biggest loser", you should know that eating a late night snack is a definite no-no.

There is a difference though to eating your normal intake during the day and then having an 'extra' snack at night, and eating one of your normal meals late at night before going to bed.

The point was that only total calorie intake matters. Doesn't matter when those calories are eaten. If you eat your normal size dinner at midnight, fine. If you eat your dinner at 8 and then have a snack or second dinner at midnight, not fine.

Time does matter because the food needs to be digested.

I'm 47 and a waist 30, you?

I don't claim to know anything about nutrition. I was merely clarifying what I think was onlylads (and no names) point.
