He really looked disgusted. Haven't seen that from a Hab player in a while. Halak did too.

Which game was it? I shut game 4 off with about 5 minutes left, and I stopped game 5 after the empty netter.

Gomez was a beast in the 3rd, played like 12 minutes. Ultimately losing Markov was too much to overcome IMHO. Plus guys like Gio Gomez Cammy and Pleks need a winger to do the dirty work.

I'd rather see him happy after the last game of the year.

My problem with Gomez is that he doesn't deserve the contract he has. He is way overpaid

Yes, hopefully we lose one of our best players.

Also, I hope we trade both Halak and Price for future considerations. And that we move Subban in the off-season as well.

Yes, missing the playoffs is much more fun than going 3 rounds

When the chips were down and the year was on the line, Scott Gomez raised his game. So did Brian Gionta.

Can't say the same for anyone else in our top 6.

The man wants to win, he's a winner (yes he's overpaid, move on with that jeez). To come this far and to lose must be a devastating feeling, Halak looked shaken up too.

So what's this friking deal with Gomez's salary? Who the F cares how much he's paid??? As long as we have a 56$ dollar team!

So Subban is paid 700,000$ but he deserve 5.0M$ so we saved 4.3$M there! Not happy??

Maybe he should have gotten mad after those penalties he took in games 1 and 2 that took us out of the series.

You know gotten mad when it mattered not after the series is over? What's the point of being mad now? Is he gonna rage on the golf course? Shoot a couple holes in one then ram his cart into the club house?

This is what I want to know:

Why couldn't Gomez skate and play with as much conviction as he did last night all series / playoff long?

He proved to everyone that he has a higher gear.

Why do I know you never played hockey, or any sports for that matter in your life, at least not at an elite level? This really ain't always a matter of will.

Plekanec played at a high level all year, not sure he had another gear to go to.

This, plus Cammy had been scoring at a ridiculous pace... You just can't forget how he was dominant in Game 6 against Pittsburgh.

You people dumping on Gomez are entitled to your opinion, but I would suggest that your fingers should be pointed elsewhere.

We were carried by a handful of forwards...I would be pissed too when it was over.

Of course. Cammy was spectacular these playoffs, but he didn't deliver last night, and neither did Plek, which saddens me.

I don't doubt Cammy's ability to perform when it matters, not at all, he's a streaky scorer. But Plek...the guy has been out of it since the Washington series. He was so-so vs Pit and sucked this series. Cammy, on the other hand, silenced all the morons who said he disappeared in the playoffs.

In my opinion, "sports stars" are in general way over paid, compared to people whose work is exponentially many times more valuable to society as a whole. Teachers and nurses just to name a couple.
