You were just as helpful, habsman, keeping the official list updated (hell, you created this thread because KC's just wasn't cutting it. ).

It's a shame people just lost interest, and frankly I don't think the commish realized how much effort he'd need to keep ths league up and running.

Sigh... This is why I never really liked fantasy drafts, they always die in the later rounds.

Same here. Sucks that there wasn't enough effort put in to keep it running.

It would be nice to get it back running but I think it is pretty unrealistic. People have likely just lost all interest. We would just find ourselves in the same place 2 or 3 weeks from now.

On a side note, I didnt really care KC was not being very active, I know people have stuff come up in the summer, but it is kind of irrating that he is in all these other games and can not even come into this game and put it to rest

This game was "put to rest" long ago, we don't need KC's official declaration that the league is dead to know that it is.

HemskytoStaal

Rick Nash - Jeff Carter - David Backes
Ville Leino - Eric Staal - Kyle Okposo
Jarkko Ruutu - Matt Cullen - Trent Hunter
Tomas Tatar-Manny Malhotra-Patrice Cormier

Brian Rafalski (C) - Brent Burns (A)
Niklas Kronwall (A) - Francois Beauchemin
Jakub Kindl - Roman Polak

Jonathan Bernier
Alex Stalock

The best 1st line in the league, & on top of that, has some really good depth

Moses Doughty

#17 Ilya Kovalchuk - #40 Henrik Zetterberg - #13 Dan Carcillo (E)
#21 Mason Raymond - #19 Mike Ribeiro - #32 Peter Mueller
- #39 Logan Couture - #15 Scott Glennie
XXXX - #27 Steven Reinprecht - #24 Kyle Clifford

#6 Shea Weber (A) - #44 Niklas Hjalmarsson
#25 Joni Pitkanen - #4 Bryan McCabe
#28 Robyn Regehr - #3 Travis Hamonic

#30 Martin Brodeur
#32 Josh Harding

Kovalchuk + Zetterberg = damage. The team has a really good defense, in front of one the best goalies of all-time. Still lacking a "sandpaper" to the lineup.

GordieHoweHatTrick

Ray Whitney "A" - Nicklas Backstrom - Bobby Ryan
Michael Frolik - Tomas Plekanec - Dustin Brown "C"
R.J. Umberger - Andrei Loktionov - Tuomo Ruutu
Cody McLeod - M.Johansson - Klingberg

Erik Johnson "A" - Keith Ballard
Ladislav Smid - Tim Gleason
xxx - xxx

Carey Price
xxx

Really good depth along the top 3 lines. Defense is young, but solid & Price had a lot of value in what was supposed to be a keeper league.

Tavares2theRescue

Zach Parise - Derek Roy - Nathan Horton
Bryan Little - Jordan Staal - Drew Stafford
Steve Ott - Marcel Goc - Viktor Stalberg
Steve Sullivan - XXX - Teemu Selanne

Brent Seabrook - Brian Campbell
Zybnek Michalek - Kyle Quincey
Andrew MacDonald - XXX

Jonas Hiller
XXX

Very solid at all positions in the game (F,D,G)

Stalberg

Neal-M.Richards-Fehr
Booth-Berglund-Hornqvist
Kreider-Bolland-Williams
xxx-xxx-Kassian

Doughty-Yandle
Wideman-Fistric
Alzner-Gardiner
Scandella

Howard
Markstrom

Lineup could have been one of the best in a keeper league. There's a lot of question marks because of all the youth but the team looks like a "keeper"

HM:

Makaveli

#17 Simmonds- #19 Toews(C) - #81 Kessel
#9 Paul Kariya - #37 Bergeron - #22 Boyes
#18 Tedenby - #16 Sutter - #9 Downie(E)
#39 MacLean- #11 Boychuk- #10 Moller

#3 Phaneuf(A) - #7 Martin
#51 Tyutin - #36 Gunnarsson
#97 Gilroy - #33 Larsen

#41 Halak
xxxxx

no Crosby or Ovechkin teams (i played around with the lineups)

I think I had one of the better teams in the league. The only team that i think can compete is Edmonton

Hemsky - Spezza - Perry
Burrows - Vinny - Bourque
Bertzuzzi - JVR - Knuble
Foligno - Eller - Beleskey

Edler - Gonchar
Subban - Staal
Wisniewski

Gustavsson (was Nabokov before he bolted to the KHL)

Sick 1st line, can put up similar numbers to Edmonton's 1st line
I really like my 2nd line, Vinny still has some years left
Solid 3rd line, JVR ready to break out and Knuble beside Ovi will get his points
Young energy filled 4th line. Foligno sees a lot of minutes and Beleskey played with Getzlaf and Perry for a bunch of games to end the year

Defense is decent and goaltending was better with Nabokov but I could have found another 1A guy

Not to be rude but I think you kids overlook my team... Seeing how it was supposed to a be a keeper league... I built my team around youth. I had incredible salary structure in place on top of it.. My team was destined to dominate for years to come . I also had 3 first round picks for the upcoming entry draft!... Ugh!

Cap Hit: $35,400,833
Cap Space: $24,599,167

Lineup:
Patrick Sharp - Ryan Getzlaf - Martin Havlat
Evander Kane - Mikko Koivu - Radim Vrbata
Nikita Filatov - Saku Koivu - xxx
xxx - Cody Hodgson - xxx

Tyler Myers - Alex Pietrangelo
Erik Karlsson - xxx
xxx - Thomas Hickey

xxx
Michal Neuvirth

AHL / Prospects:
Kyle Turris
Patrick Wiercioch
Taylor Beck
Linus Omark
Kirill Petrov

Trades:
Anaheim sends 11th(#237) to Detroit for 15th(#334) + Ottawa 2010 1st entry
Anaheim sends 13th(#283) to Winnipeg for 16th(#365) + Winnipeg 2010 1st entry

I think I had one of the better teams in the league.

Simon Gagne(5.25)-Ryan Kesler (5)-Devin Setoguchi(RFA)
Milan Michalek(4.333)-Travis Zajac(3.88)-Tomas Fleishman(RFA)
Alex Steen(RFA)-Matt Lombardi(UFA)-Ryan Callahan(2.3)
Scottie Upshall(2.25)-Andrew Cogliano(RFA)-______

Dan Boyle(6.667)-Jay Boumeester(6.68)
John Carlson(.846)-Jack Johnson(1.425)

Niklas Backstrom(6)

So much depth in every position. Amazing top 4 defense, great goalie, and every forward line produces.
