That's what I'm guessing. Either that or they're going to do the pre-season exhibition games and then play games against each other to start the season. Not much else is known about this at the moment. The guy who broke this story is 'the man' when it comes to KHL news in the US.

Assume it would be exhibition games, like last year where the teams over in europe played games against european clubs.

Coyotes are already scheduled to do that against Czech teams, though.

Coyotes are playing the Boston Bruins in Prague to open the season, not Czech teams. And the Canes open against the Wild in Finland.

With both teams opening overseas, might be a matter of heading over for their final pre-season games against KHL teams, then head to Prague and Finland to start the season before returning to the states.

It's all part of IEH's plan since Saskatoon was booked.

The teams will open with exhibition games against local teams in both Prague and Helsinki though.
