It was a belief in Columbus that Doug MacLean was seriously micro-managing the coaching decisions being made by Gallant (like Dougie is wont to do about everything).

The Columbus Dispatch are saying that the Blue Jackets have offered a contract to Guy Boucher.

Kevin Dineen is also apparently a candidate for TB.

That's some fantastic sports reporting right there.

According to something I read today (JJ maybe?) Kirk Muller is at the top of the TB coaching candidates list.

Personally I hope its one of Dineen or Boughner if he can be pried away.

The Devils are also in the market for a coach. Michel Therrien and John MacLean are supposedly the favorites.

Mac T and Keenan are apparently out of the running.

They've also have had their eye on Muller.

... and add Guy Carbonneau to that list too . He was in the rumours , last week , to land the job in NJ .

Guy Boucher has apparently turned down the job offer from Columbus.

If what this ends up being is that Columbus has to go with their second (or third) option, it could mean that Dineen and/or Arniel are now back in play.

To be honnest , i dont understand his move . I see only two options for Boucher that explain his decision : 1)The Habs will give him more cash to stay in the AHL as a head coach or as an assistant in Montreal and he will wait for Martin to get fired . 2) Boucher have a better offert on the table to be a coach in the NHL, in a better than the CBJ.

Congrats. Great coach.

Tampa is heading in a good direction. Yzerman and then Boucher.

Can we get Stamkos for Boucher? Screw Lecavalier, you would have to add a first round pick.

Nice move guys. Boucher is 50,000 times the coach Tocchet was. Your club is getting some cred quickly.

Wow, if this is true what a coup for Stevie Y! I was kinda on the Dineen bandwagon, but the more I've read about Boucher, the better I like him.

At least we will definitely have a system. I don't know if it will work or not, but we will have one.

I really liked watching Stamkos and the Lightning last year

I will again this year

Loved watching Boucher in the Q for Drummondville

I want to see the 1-3-1 in the NHL

Yes, I know. Kind of a Lightning joke, as nobody could ever identify what the heck system Tocchet was playing, other than "play hard and go to the front of the net". It was not overly successful.
