TSN can confirm Mtl media reports on Boucher being the new head coach in Tampa. Deal still being finalized. But he's the guy.

Congarts Tampa Fans, from a Habs fan perspective I would have fired Jacques Martin in a heartbeat to sign Boucher. Your getting a class act, a genius with tactics and a real Generational Coach. Tampa is officially my 2nd favorite team, and I hope you guys win a few cups with Guy, hes the type of coach that doesn't come by very often.

Cheers! And even though its night here the future looks much brighter in Tampa

Bouchers main quality is his communication. Asides his 1-3-1 offensive zone play, he is almost a private sports psychologist. He disects everything and finds the ways to say the right things to the specific players to make sure they know there role and how to use it very well. Ex. We sent pacioretty down to AHL to refine his game. That guy can change a career alone. Hes like a 1 man rehab

Yzerman as GM
Boucher as headcoach
Stamkos as franchise forward
Hedman as franchise dman...

I shudder with jealousy...

Just don't take Carey Price as well...then you guys will be absolutely beastly

You forgot getting rid of the OK Circus and getting one sole owner in Vinik.
that alone was enough for us lightning fans to look forward to next season.

K guys, srsly.

Bob Boughner appears to be leaving the Windsor Spitfires. For Columbus. To be an assistant.

For how were they ever able to convince him to leave his partial ownership of the Spitfires behind?

They also hired Florida born Dan Hinote as an assistant. I guess Boughner thinks the track to become a NHL head coach is faster as an assistant than in Junior.
