Will Calder Cup air on NHL Network?

I was wondering if the Calder Cup finals will air once again this year on the NHL Network? I know they were on two years ago and I'm assuming were on last year also. I'd love to see the finals this year, especially if Hamilton gets past Texas tonight. It would be much better watching games for free on my nice big TV than watching them online for $10.99!

I hope it will be on NHL Network again.

It's getting more interesting every year to me.

I don't think they showed any games last year.

Sure would be nice...

My guess is if it's available on local TV, NHL Network will try to pick it up. The Chicago Wolves have every game on TV, so that made TV easy 2 years ago. Does anyone know if Texas or Hershey have any of their games televised?

Texas hasn't during the playoffs. Only three games were televised during the regular season with Fox Sports Southwest, the State Farm Texas Faceoff series...

Gotta have television sponsors lined up first...

Big hanging point for Hershey. They had game 5 from last year, (series winning game) and that was it for local TV. They didn't have any games on local TV for the playoffs so far and I haven't heard anything otherwise for the finals yet.

Um...It's 12.99 for the finals this year on AHL Live or 64.99 for the whole package.

hmmm so we can watch NHL hockey playoffs for free but have to pay for minor league hockey?
I guess they see no value in exposure!

That's where I've been watching this series for free. Insane they want 12.99 for crappy non HD feeds.

I think it is a shame the NHL network does not add some live programming like the Calder Cup Final. It seems ridiculous we can get the Telus Cup, the Royal Bank Cup and Allen Cup on TV yet we cannot get one of the best leagues in the World on air.

Andrews has to negotiate w/ the Network JUST AS HE HAS TO in regards to the Classic.... most of the simulcasts are dependent on when the NHL Season ends.

I fail to see how this has anything to do with televising an AHL finals series since no NHL finals games are televised on the NHL network. Andrews might need to negotiate it no doubt but it being dependent on the NHL season etc has no bearing on any of it.

Comcast Mid Atlantic regional sports network is broadcasting the games on cable or satellite, that is if you have the package with the Hershey Bears announcers...

Otherwise for a price there is AHL llve live streaming on the world wide web...

They have "random" AHL games based on already being broadcast games ...i.e., television production already taking place, and often show them on tape delay.

I'd think there's a chance some of games 3-5 will show up on NHL Network on tape delay at some point. Having the game on NHL Network live along with contractual issues/money stuff, I assume the fact that game 4 is on at the same time as game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals is an issue. And if there's a game 7 on Friday, it would be on at the same time as Game 5 of the AHL series.

Our league definitely is not being ignored on NHL Network, Scott Arniel, Guy Boucher and if you listen closely a lot of our markets are being mentioned......

Hutch - I never said the AHL was being ignored. I was simply giving more information as to why the AHL games 3 and 4 weren't being shown live on the NHL Network this week.

Heard on "NHL Live" that Games 5, 6, and 7 will be on NHLN in the US.

NHLN Canada will have Games 6 and 7.

Just found out that game five was on the NHL Network. The quality is really good, despite not being in HD. I'm glad they'll show the remaining games, as I was looking forward to watching some of the Calder Cup finals this year.
