Its mostly bad luck...The last three I broke: one snapped going into the end board, another cracked blade (can still use it, but shots arent very good), the last broke at the bottom of the shaft taking slapshot. I was able to get the warranty back on one of them.
Alright here you go. These pics are a bit garbage but you can get the gist of it. The shadow on the first pic makes the curve look bigger than it actually is.
Close up of name at the handle
The wood on the blade is a thin piece of laminate about 75% of the blade is fibreglass. It widens out as it gets to the toe and is over 3.75" tall at the toe.
This is kind of blurry but it says Wayne Gretzky 79/ Edmonton Oilers #99 This was after his first full season in the WHA but before he played a game in the NHL. 79-80 was the year Campbell played in Edmonton.
And here I am getting my hands on this stick for the first time. Gretzky was at the hockey school for a week that summer and even though it was 31 years ago I remember him being on the ice and I remember sitting beside him on the bench. He was very quiet and unassuming and remember him spending a ton of time immersed in conversation with Colin Campbell. They were likely heading off to training camp within a few weeks of this and prepping for Edmonton's first NHL season.
His brother Brent was also there at the school for a week and he centered my line during the scrimmages.
