He was the Leafs' leading scorer in the 196364, 196667 and 196970 seasons, and the team's top goal scorer in 197071 and 197273. Keon was considered one of the fastest skaters in the NHL, and one of the best defensive forwards of his era.[3] He would usually play against the opposing team's top centre, and developed a reputation for neutralizing some of the league's top scorers. In 197071, he scored eight shorthanded goals, setting an NHL record.

I believe it was Terasenko (butchered the name I bet) who is eligible for the draft this year. For the last few games. It was Anisimov until Datsyuk and Malkin joined the team I think.

Yes, I remember seeing these 3 together for a few goals.

I believe both the non-Leafs are available.

Just a comment

Just a quick comment on the suggested value of Kulemin. If he wants 3 million - There are much better options for that money.
Just one recent example: Scottie Upshall just signed for 2.25 million,
And further Detroit can sign an established vet like Holmstrom, Tomas for 1.875 mil. Wow I guess things are really different in Toronto.

Kulemin and his agent will find out that no team in the league will be willing to pay him 3M per, he'll be worth it soon but not for now.

They'll eventually realize this by July/August and he'll sign a 2 year deal for 2.5 M per.

Why would Pittsburgh trade Staal for a 1 year rental and a 3rd. liner?

I think the understanding in that case would be that Kabs would agree to an extension.

I would be surprised if Kaberle signs an extention with any team he is not interested in.

I would not be surprised to see him sign a very cap friendly contract in a location he desires with of course a mutual NTC.

And why could that not be Pit? In the East and a perenial stanley cup contender, sounds like a good place for Kabs to me. As for Kulemin, his past relationship with Malkin would be welcomed. They also lack depth on the wing and was a main reason Montreal eliminated them this year.

Afinogenov is available July 1st but Burke said he's looking for a winger with size. He won't sign Maxim unfortunately. Terasenko is still going in the first round most likely, he has another 2 years in the KHL I believe though. He can play C/RW too.

Wonder if Kulemin could have reached 42+ points playing with Kessel on the top line for the entire season?

Another reason was they have Defenseman who suck at playing defense.

Instead of Primeau and Stempniak? Hard to say. Looked like he got comfortable playing in the NHL after a while with those two. So they helped but I think maybe that he spent a bit too long there yeah.

I don't think he's qualified, but I could be wrong.

Children, stop freaking out about Kulemin not being signed and putting him in every damn trade proposal.

He is going to get signed.

And a 24-year-old blossoming talent like him, with his strength, explosion, and skill, is exactly the type of player the Leafs should be hanging on to.

Trade proposals are more fun than stating "Kulemin only deserves $2-$2.5 million. Everyone believes this, or so it seems, but anyone can debate trade destinations. It's the offseason. People are bored, and this is what they do.

Depending on the term, 2.8 at the most.

Kulemin Update???

http://www.torontosun.com/sports/hoc.../14405621.html

found this article in the sun. i believe this part was most intriguing to me
" Though nothing is moving in talks with restricted free-agent winger Nikolai Kulemin, Burke stressed there was plenty of time for the two sides to reach a common number."
i believe burke will get the deal done, or at least gives me reason to believe he see's the potential Kuli has
