Watching games in Chicago

I'm a born and raised Flyers fan in Montco, but currently reside in Chicago for the last several years. Is there any place out here we can gather to watch games without all the Hawks bandwagoners?

In the past, I've had no luck finding a comfy place to watch a game with a beer other than my living room with NHL Center Ice...but I figure more people are looking at the boards now, so it was worth a shot to ask...

I'm in Logan Square, but visit bars throughout the city...so I'm open as long as it's a Flyer friendly atmosphere. Sick of being booed while walking around the city in my Richards sweater.

You best bet is your house. Invite friends over to your house or something.

It's like when I was in Wrigleyville with my Konerko jersey. It was annoying. I had to get tickets for this concert, and I was stupid enough to wear my Konerko jersey right before a game at Wrigley. This 10 year old is like "Look! A Sox fan!" And the whole crowd starts booing me and flicking me off.

I hate Stub Hub.

I live in Philly, but am down visiting family in Wilmington, NC for the weekend. We were trying to figure out if there might be a good Philly bar to go to down here, as my brother has one near him in southern California and it got me wondering how many others there might be around the country. Some googling found us this PhilliesNation site that has a section devoted to Phillies bars around the country...but of course, you have to figure that any bar you could call a Phillies bar has to be a Philly bar in general. Incredibly, there is actually a bar listed in Wilmington, so we plan to watch the game there tomorrow night...it's called the Copper Penny. We found reviews for it too and people claim that it is in fact a Philly bar with all kinds of Philly memorabilia, and shows all kinds of Philly sports. I called just to doublecheck and the girl told me that is the deal and they will have the Flyers game on tomorrow. I imagine most sports bars anywhere will, but if this is actually a Philly hangout that's gonna have other Flyers fans there that'll be awesome.

Anyway though, to the OP...that site also has a bar listed for Chicago...the Mad River Bar & Grille. And here's the link to the page I'm talking about...

Maybe if any Hawks fans read this they can weigh in on whether or not that place is a legit hangout for Philly people.

Oh yeah, and if by some random chance anyone on here happens to know anything more about the Copper Penny or has ever been there, I'd love to hear about it. I mean, I'm a little skeptical that the place is actually gonna be legit...just seems too random to have a bar really devoting itself to Philly sports in Wilmington friggin NC. Plus, their site gives no mention of it. They claimed on the phone there would be sound for the game, but I'm skeptical of that too...think I'll have to stop in earlier in the day to get a feel for this place. Above all...I need a big screen, sound, and some ****ing ability to concentrate, haha...having some other Flyers fans there would just be a bonus. If they can't offer me what I need, we'll be glad to watch at home.

I've been to this place a few times but I am not sure what the Cup Finals will offer:

If you go to Mad River, don't get the buffet (if there is one) cause I heard it's gross.

used to live over by there, towards clark and belmont, and have heard similar things. I moved, in large part due to Cubs fans, and don't exactly want to go back to the neighborhood for going out...
