I seem to recall that he was one of the winners and made the NHL on his tryout with the Oilers. Any truth to this?

Really? Damn I was so sure. Did the guy who won get a contract from the Oil?

Franklin MacDonald, the winner of the second season, played 3 years in the Panthers farm system, now playing in Austria. David Brine from the second season also got a contract from the Panthers and actually played 9 games in the NHL in 2007-08, and will be a RFA this summer.

The 6 winners of the first season attended the training camp of the 6 Canadian teams, but didn't get contracts, barely made the AHL at best.

It's pretty impressive a guy from that show actually made it to the NHL. Only 9 games but still, that guy had probably pretty much given up on his dream.

I remember someone with the last name "Little" who won, I think it was the first season.
