Good News: Markov will not be playing.

Bad News: Bruins will get another lottery pick.

I'm picking Gorges in OT

or just a Cammalleri showtime experience. That would be amazing. Then Cherry can go on about the GTHL for as long as he wants. Subban with one as well.

I guess that means Kadri opens his career against his childhood team?

He who underestimates his opponents is sure to taste defeat.

Cammalleri will start the season strong like last year, so I wouldn't be surprized if he scored in the opener.

I'd go with Sanford, Auld hasn't been quite good in pre-season.

Again?? So..........will Markov be ready for the start, or is he going to get injured again in game one?

I'll thank you guys to start their season much like the last one started. Except do it in regulation.

He's out, now it looks like he'll be back mid-late October.

I'd be very surprised, Markov was 3 rows in front of me on my plane when i went to Miami on July 23rd, and he was walking like you and me.

As I recall cammy didn't score before the 7th game. Therefore your statement about last year is wrong

Leafs have the best D in the East, they added Versteeg, a solid top 6, Armstrong to add depth and toughness.. I have to respect this team and expect again a tough time when we face them, I could see them make the playoffs this year..

Their weakness is up front and in the net where I would rank it at the bottom, Giguere is the most overrated goaltender in the league while their swedish monster doesnt move very quicker.. They wont look as bad as last year since their blueline appear to be healthy and they added 2 high quality fowards at their line-up.. still not very impressive but they sure got better up front..I have the Bruins ending first in the division and I think Habs and Leafs have good chances to make the playoffs..

People were rating the Leafs D last year as top 5 in the NHL, with a lot of people having it top 3. Big names is good and all on paper, but the question is how will they play together as a team. Calling them the best D in the East is a huge overstatement. They have that potential maybe, but it's not a definite.
Also there's question marks about their individual defensemen. Which Komisarek is going to show up? Can he stay healthy? Will Phaneuf regain his 50-60 point form? How will he handle the pressure of wearing the C? Will Kaberle even be there?

Those seems like big names but they aren't that good. Komisarek and Beauchemin are overrated. Phaneuf, except for a couple of good hits here and there in a season is also overrated. Karbele is their only good/consistent defenseman.

This game is played in unit of 5 and obviously, the blueline alone cant do everything by their own, when your line-up suck so much up front and that your goaltenders are crap, its clear that the whole team will suffer from those weakness but like I said, they got better this summer by getting Versteeg, a guy who will help alot their top 2 lines + a quality grinder in Amrstrong.. Regarding the quality of their fowards, Leafs still have alot of work to do, I would still rank their offense at the bottom but the addition of the guys named above will help them.. With a good defensive system, fowards playing hard and disciplined hockey, I see the Leafs as a pretty tough team to play against, they wont score many goals, but neither their opponents will..
