Team Quebec

Alex Tanguay-Vincent Lecavalier-Martin St.Louis
Daniel Briere-Mario Lemieux-Eric Daze
Simon Gagne-Vincent Damphousse-Martin Lapointe
Martin Gelinas-Mike Ribeiro-George Laraque

Ds

Eric Desjardins-Boucher, Philippe
Marc-Andre Bergeron-Denis Gauthier
Patrice Brisebois-Jonathan Girard

Goalies

Martin Brodeur
Roberto Luongo

I left off some nice forward talents but I wanted Laraque's toughness, Lapointe's leadership and grit. The defense sucks but with these two goalies, who cares? The scoring can be spread out more by mixing things up and putting Daze with Ribeiro.

I probably forgot a lot of players but some I could think of are Robitaille, Daigle, Dumont, Bouchard, Lombardi and rookie wonder Patrice Bergeron. I don't really like seeing Ribeiro on the fourth line but his season warranted him making the team and if Mario went down, he could likely replace him on the second line and feed those two wingers.

Oh. I should point out that team Quebec would have interesting choices as far as coaching. Scotty Bowman and Jacques Lemaire.

I think with the elite goaltending and coaching alone, this team is hard to beat.

He was raised in Nunavut more than 90% of his life. If he isn't from Nunavut, than Heatley isn't from Alberta.

Ranken Inlet. Of course. I was thinking of someone else who is from northern Manitoba, but I can't think who. But now that I checked tsn it says Churchill, so I guess I must have heard that he was born there and it sticked in my mind. Oh well.

I'd put Jason Smith on there somewhere (Dempsey).

EDIT: And/or Chris Phillips.

Bertuzzi-Thornton-Nolan
Nash-Lindros-Sullivan
Shanahan-Nieuwendyk-Walker
Arnott-Yzerman-Spezza

Foote-Pronger

For everyone's information Nolan moved to the General Toronto Area at a young age. Yzerman also grew up in Ottawa. They're ours.

Kolzig is hardly "yours".

Kolzig, who was born in South Africa, moved to Canada when he was four years old. His father was in the hotel business and the family moved all over the country.

"It started in Edmonton," said Kolzig. "Then we basically moved from West Coast to East Coast, stopping in Ontario for five years, going to Halifax for five years, and we've been in B.C. since '87."

I'd have to check on Nolan and Yzerman to see if those claims are also bull.

Actually I think Nolan moved to Ontario when he was a baby so yeah he's Ontario's.

Anyway wow the Ontario and Quebec teams look strong! So much talent.

I'll take a shot at a past and present Massachusetts team -- I am not sure if I am missing anyone but here goes:

RW: Tony Amonte; Bill Guerin; Shawn McEachern; Scott Young

C: Bobby Carpenter; Jeremy Roenick; Robbie Ftorek; Andy Brickley

LW:
Teddy Donato; Kevin Stevens; Keith Tkachuk; Phil Bourque

D: Jeff Norton; Mike Milbury; Hal Gill; Richie Dunn; Peter Taglianetti; Jackie O'Callahan

G:
Tom Barrasso; Garth Snow

Coach: Mike Sullivan (since Milbury and Ftorek are playing)

Okay, get ready... here's TEAM NOVA SCOTIA!! (hey, we rule at curling, why not hockey??)

Forwards:
Ryan Flinn - Donald MacLean - Glen Murray (our answer to the 700 lb line!)
Jon Sim - Craig MacDonald - Denis Bonvie
(reserve: David Ling, SIDNEY CROSBY!!)... I'd also try to convince Mike McPhee and Bobby Smith to come out of retirement!

Defense:
Al MacInnis - Colin White
Derrick Walser - Eric Boulton
(reserve: Dean Melanson)

Goalie:
Olaf Kolzig (since Pokey and Wendell don't play anymore I claim him in the name of Dartmouth, NS Midget AAA!... he played there before New Westminster, WHL)
Since I personally hate Craig Hillier and he hasn't played NHL yet, I can't use him. Maybe we could drag Troy Gamble out of his ditch somewhere.

GM/Coaches:
Bobby Smith, with Mike McPhee and Norm Ferguson assisting

I'd put those two lines against any two from Ontario! :lol

(edit: I'd rather put together a Halifax Mooseheads alumi team than this one... Tanguay, King, Abid, Shelley, Jurcina, Reid, Nagy, Giguere, etc)

Rhode Island could field a decent team of defensemen and goaltenders-

Goaltenders-
Brian Boucher, Garth Snow

Defensemen-
Bryan Berard, Keith Carney, Mathieu Schneider, Jeff Jillson

Someone please add any forwards, I just can't think of any right now.

Maybe you are thinking of Cheechoo. Even though he isn't from Churchill either, but still he came from Northern Manitoba.
