You could add Mark Parrish, David Tanabe, Erik Westrum, Bret Hedican, Sean Hill, Matt Cullen, Eric Rasmussen, Jamie Langenbrunner, Jason Blake, Ben Clymer, Darby Hendrickson, Craig Johnson, Kurt Sauer, Jeff Taffe, Tom Preissing, and soon, Zach Parise to your list.
I was Just was taking guys off the top of my head. But Langenbrunner should have came to mind right away.
I think Team Minnesota would beat almost every state. Maybe Mass. and Michigan would give Minny a run for their money.
Okay, get ready... here's TEAM NOVA SCOTIA!! (hey, we rule at curling, why not hockey??)
Ryan Flinn - Donald MacLean - Glen Murray (our answer to the 700 lb line!)
Jon Sim - Craig MacDonald - Denis Bonvie
(reserve: David Ling, SIDNEY CROSBY!!)... I'd also try to convince Mike McPhee and Bobby Smith to come out of retirement!
Al MacInnis - Colin White
Derrick Walser - Eric Boulton
(reserve: Dean Melanson)
Olaf Kolzig (since Pokey and Wendell don't play anymore I claim him in the name of Dartmouth, NS Midget AAA!... he played there before New Westminster, WHL)
Since I personally hate Craig Hillier and he hasn't played NHL yet, I can't use him. Maybe we could drag Troy Gamble out of his ditch somewhere.
Bobby Smith, with Mike McPhee and Norm Ferguson assisting
I'd put those two lines against any two from Ontario! :lol
(edit: I'd rather put together a Halifax Mooseheads alumi team than this one... Tanguay, King, Abid, Shelley, Jurcina, Reid, Nagy, Giguere, etc)

I couldn't make a full team with guys from just Michigan so I threw in Ohio, Illinois and Indiana to make a full 23-man roster...
Team Great Lakes
M. Modano (MI) / D. Weight (MI) / M. York (MI)
K. Miller (MI) / D. Legwand (MI) / A. Hall (MI)

while there isn't enough from mich. playing right now to field a team, the recent past does hold a decent team, i'm talking 80's - present
Ealier on this thread I stated that we could come up with 3-teams for Ontario........
1) Ontario North
2) Ontario South
3) Metro Toronto
I looked up the players last night and came up with the 3-teams but unfortunately the paper I wrote it down in is at home and I'm pecking away here on my keyboard at the College.........I'll be sure to come back tomorrow with the listing of players for the 3-Ontario based teams.
Dan Cleary - Jason King - Michael Ryder
Darren Langdon - Harold Druken - Terry Ryan
Tony White - Andy Sullivan (yea, he would have made it) - Alex Faulkner
Chad Penney - Dwayne Norris - Jason Morgan
John Slaney - Keith Brown
Brad Brown - Dave Pichette
Bob Gladney - Joe Lundrigan
Doug Grant - Mark Fitzpatrick
Up and comer line:
Ryan Clowe - Daniel Ryder - Derrick Kent
Doug O'Brian - Sam Roberts
Daniel LaCosta - Ryan Moir - Jason Churchill
The list seems preety good.
How about Todd Gillingham. He enjoyed some time as a Baby Leaf.
And how about the Newfie that got selected 21st overall in the OHL Draft this year. Can't remember the name though.
If i had to put a Newfoundland into, lets say a Provincal Pro Hockey Tourney then heres my forwards
Daniel Ryder - Jason King - Michael Ryder
Daniel Cleary - Harold Druken - Darren Langdon
Ryan Clowe - Jason Morgan - Mark Chaplin
Dwayne Norris - Derrick Kent - Todd Gillingham
(Can't rmember some, there are a few decent ones in Europe and in the ECHL)
We would have 3 good D(Slaney, O'Brien, Brown). We wolud just pick up a few drunks along the way and give them a stick and a pair of skates and let em go
