It's funny to see how fast stuff spreads across the internet - I was the one who posted the original pic elsewhere. There were a few anniversary patches for various teams on the back of the cardboard backer attached to the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals patch.

My original pic was taken with my cell phone, here's a clearer scan:

I'm assuming the left one is Vancouver, wonder if Buffalo is doing anything?

Did another team have a 10 year logo with a toilet? Is that why we can't?

It isn't too bad, but a little strange looking with the CBJ logo below. Also with one flag end going down and the and the other going up. Just doesn't seem exactly right.

Clearer looks even worse.

The Sharks logo looks like a Super Bowl patch.

First thing I thought of when I saw this was NASCAR.

Doesn't Nationwide sponsor a Nascar racing series too? Conspiracy?

As others have mentioned, the 2 flags are annoying.

I like the idea of the "flagpole" being a hockey stick, and would have removed the CBJ logo at the bottom, and replaced it with the JHM patch.

Seriously, if you're going to bash the franchise with humor, at least make it remotely funny.

I agree with some of the others. I don't like the flag at the bottom, but the rest I kind of like. Seems like too much. It does feel like a bit of a NASCAR logo as others made reference to, but I can live with it.

I like the franchise making references to our states history.

I think it's a classy logo. It's not too flashy, it tells the anneversery and the years of existence. I really like the flag waving and the red banner at the bottom. I do, however, agree with Skraut here. I think putting the JHM patch on here would have looked amazing on the logo. I mean, the main logo is going to be on the jersey anyway, now it's going to be on the front twice, I think that's kind of repetitive. I would really like it a lot more, even though I love it now, if the JHM patch were on it.

Here's a bigger version I found

I don't mind it. I'm glad they went with the arabic numeral rather than the roman numeral X like a lot of these anny logos use. I don't think it needed the primary logo on there. It being on the jersey will cause a redundancy of Ohio state flags. Also, we're getting a third jersey next year, perhaps that could be the number font on the thirds when they're unveiled. Or am I looking at it too much?

I'm assuming this will adorn the jerseys in the same place that the JHM patches and inaugural season patches did. I can't say I'm a big fan of that. I think the jerseys look cleaner without a patch, but I'll be able to live with. I'm really hoping this thing doesn't take over at center ice like some teams have done in the past.

The main logo on the bottom ribbon looks even worse there.

I doubt the bolded happens, although it should.

BLUE JACKETS INTRODUCE 10TH SEASON LOGO

As a valued member of our team and a season ticket holder, we are happy to give you the first look at a video that is being shown this morning at the Greater Columbus Sports Commission's annual Morning Sports Report unveiling a special logo commemorating the Blue Jackets' 10th season as a member of the National Hockey League.

Click on the logo to watch the video http://smr.mm.ticketmaster.com/track...NwP2lkPTcyNjQ2

The logo features a representation of the state of Ohio flag, flying on a silver flag pole above the stylized number "10" with a red and blue ribbon at the bottom featuring the team's official logo between the years 2000 and 2010. The mark utilizes the team's primary colors of Union Blue, representing the color worn by the Union Army during the Civil War; Goal Red, in reference to the most exciting moment in hockey; and Capital Silver, signifying Columbus as the state capital of Ohio. A 10th season patch will be worn on the upper chest of home and away jerseys this season beginning on Opening Night.

If you're interested, special 10th season merchandise including shirts, pucks, pins, polo shirts and patches are available now at the Fox Sports Ohio Blue Line, official team stores of the Blue Jackets, located at Nationwide Arena and The Mall at Tuttle Crossing, at your discounted season ticket holder rate. In addition, we will be announcing more special promotions celebrating our fans and commemmorating our 10th season in coming weeks.

As a reminder, the complete 2010-11 regular season schedule will be announced this afternoon at 12 p.m. To watch live coverage of the schedule release on Jackets TV, click here.

Thank you again for your support of Blue Jackets hockey.

Carry the Flag!

Guess I got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

I think that video is supposed to be inspirational, but I found it depressing. 10 years, and we only have a half dozen things to remember about this team?

Thanks for linking to that.

I still don't like the logo, mostly for the seemingly superfluous logo between 2000 and 2010.

Small side note from that video, while I would never want someone to lose their job, every time I hear Rimer announcer a CBJ game or highlight the CBJ fan dies inside me just a little bit.

I think the bigger news is that, for the 3rd straight season, they are going to use the lame "Carry the Flag" theme

I'll like it if i get to see them on the jersey in mid April, other wise, who cares, its just a reminder of pretty much how many losing seasons we've had

I loved watching the Carry the Flag commercials during our 20 game losing streak, priceless

I dunno, I kind of like it myself. It's better than making up a new slogan every other year like P.T. BarnumMacLean felt compelled to do.

meh,

Logo looks HUGE on the jersey
http://bluejackets.nhl.com/club/gall...g.htm?id=72646 Way to many swoopy flags in there.

White doesn't look as bad because the white boarder of the patch doesn't show up, but on the blue it's just way too busy.

I'd like to see them use the shoulder patch logo instead of another flag. That's THREE flags on the front of our jerseys!
I'm admittedly no graphic artist, but here's what I had in mind...
