An interesting question, the only ones I can think of were Peter Worrell and David Koci, both were VERY similar [although Koci could skate better and was slightly smaller]. Were there any others, including on the Nordiques?

Chris simon could at least play a regular shift. He wasn't just a pure enforcer, he was a decent player.

Odgers was awesome. He wasn't a pure enforcer, but close enough. How many guys who didn't have much talent and were known for fighting were ever a team captain? Odgers is the only one I can think of.

BTW, he just doesn't look like the Sheriff anymore without the beard.

Thanks I was scrounging there for anyone I could find lol

Re: Hunter and Simon....I guess I didn't understand the basis on the OP.......But you could argue that Simon and Hunter were the #1 enforcer for their teams even though they could play minutes.

The one guy I always liked was Francois Leroux - wonder what ever happened to him. I thought he was going to be a good enforcer for the Avs.

Tony Twist was arguably just as good as Parker if not better. Twist was a roid boy though big time. Check out this video though it's pretty hilarious. Half of his punches end up sometimes on the ref, and I love the one where he's talking to the goalie and they drop em.

He had some classics with Probert, and anyone who would stand in and fight Probert (multiple multiple times!) has my respect as a fighter.

By the time Hunter was playing for the Avs, he was pretty much just an enforcer.

Would Lappy be considered an enforcer?
He always threw down, wasn't afraid to do so, and looked forward to it. He sticks up for his mates.

Even if he isn't, he should still be mentioned here and recognized as one of the scrappiest guys we've ever had.

When I think of "enforcer" I think of someone who primarily fights and plays hockey secondarily (or not at all ). With Lappy he played hockey and could fight. He could survive the best of them more or less, but he wasn't a fighter first.

And hats off to that Tony Twist video! Before my time also.

Every punch the guy throws is a haymaker... it's like he isn't just content with making the guy sit for five in the box... he wants the guy to sit for five in the box while babbling incoherently.
