as no one seems to have any information, here´s what I´ve got - again from swiss media:
- clubs have decided to close the league from RHL to vyshaya for at least the next three years.
- teams playing in the RHL do have to have the following: a good arena, a farmteam and a certain financial background.
now it gets interesting: in case, teams from the vyshaya fulfill the above criteria, they may enter RHL - maximum two per year, which means, RHL could grow to 22 teams within next three years. though I think this is not realistic.
reads like trying to copy the NHL, eh?
season is about to start September 1st - during World Cup... strange, strange... their argument is, that local stars will not be on the WC roster, which´ll consist only of NHL players.
another strange thing: the farmteam of amur khabarovsk will play in the pacific league of japan, china and south korea - due to shorter distances to these countries than to moscow etc.
