The lakers need some scoring out of the 3 slot. Artest isn't doing jack! If he could at least contribute defensively, I'd be ok with that, but the guy is simply overmatched and is worthless. He needs to lose some weight by the next season because the guy is way to slow to play 3.
RH63,

Funny he stopped Durant, CJ Miles, and Richardson, all much quicker than Pierce. He also has pretty much held Pierce in check until game 5. The key is Bynum with his injury and limited play, Boston's big men has slowly beaten down Gasol and Odom never wanted any of it from game 1. Now with the whistles being swallowed Boston can bang even more.

I don't have a very good feeling about tonight's game. I've been wrong quite a bit in this series so, let's hope I continue being wrong.

It absolutely sucks that Bynum is AGAIN injured. This guy is always injured or so it seems. He's definitely a huge piece to our success and he would be a tough matchup for the celts. I have no doubt that if Bynum was healthy, we probably would have wrapped up the series already.

I grew up in Chicago watching Jordan work his magic... and maybe it's just me but the games seemed so much more entertaining back then. Basketball playoffs do nothing for me now.

Maybe getting in to hockey more has something to do with it, but I just can't get in to this.

Maybe you are talking about the 80's through their first 3peat but the playoffs and finals in particular during his retirement and the second half of the 90's were absolutely terrible. You had whole series where neither team scored 100 points in a single game.

The Bulls didn't score 100 points in a single game in the 97 or 98 finals and scored over 90 twice in 6 games in 98. Luckily things picked back up with the Lakers dynasty in 2000.

I don't necessarily disagree that todays games can be boring but I'll take them over that era every time.

A lot of people think the way you do. For me, it's just not the same without Magic Johnson. Magic, Byrd and Jordan...those were the days!

Oh, and btw, Magic was the greatest player NOT Michael Jordan!!!

With Perkins out it does open the paint which then gives you open looks for 3's. So for the Celtics to win game 7 they are going to need big games from Rondo and Pierce. With or without Perkins the Celts are capable of holding the Lakers under 85 points and that's what its going to take for them to have a chance.

With Perkins out they have no rebounding. Rasheed has a bad back. This series has drastically shifted in our favor. I have waited almost my whole life to see the Lakers win a championship against the Celtics. With luck and great fortune, I will be elated tomorrow night.

I'm 22. Not old enough to have seen the Dodgers win the World Series either, I was less than a year old. Which is completely horrible.

Too bad for Perkins. I'd prefer everyone be healthy and see what happens. The Lakers were without Bynum two years ago, so that was the Celtics' gain back then, the Lakers' gain now.

Yeah, I've seen both the dodger and the lakers win their championships. Most memorable lakers moment was when Magic played center against the 76ers in his rookie season and won the MVP of the finals. And of course, we all know about Gibson hitting a walk off homerun to give the series lead to the dodgers over the A's and eventually win the series.

Hey, at least, we'll both see the kings win the cup together.

Still one of the greatest spots moments ever! I remember watching that game on TV and when Davis stole 2nd base, all I was thinking was that a single could tie the game. I was also worried that Gibson might not make it to first base on a shallow single to the outfield.

Watching the home run was awesome. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was even sweeter because all of my cousins are A's fans.

That moment can only be eclipsed by the Kings winning the Stanley Cup.

While the Lakers have had a lot of championships, there are family moments that came with the four I've seen that I would not trade for anything, not even a Cup. With this potential fifth one too. Watching Laker games in my family is like a ritual. Because of them, they are super important. However, I would rather see the Kings win the cup than for the Dodgers to win a World Series, Raiders to win a Super Bowl, USC to win national titles, etc.

And the Kings winning the Cup will happen shortly!

In my lifetime. the 81 Championship was still the better of the two in the 80's. They finally beat Reggie and the Yankees.
