This is a general warning to everyone who posts here after what happened in the Game 3 thread. Once again, if you thought you got a warning from that thread, you probably did. Today, we're not going to hesitate to hand out bans and other appropriate actions. If you say something that you think could be against the rules, don't post it.
Man o man, sitting here with FOUR MORE HOURS TO GAME TIME....AHHH it's to long....wayyyyy to long....lucky people in SJ, the game starts at 1 aclock there time.
I expect the Flames to be very very physical, I have a bad fealing in my gut for the Sharks in one respect, because all the odds point to the Flames winning tonight....YET! i'm confident in my group.
Heres a player to watch out for tonight possibly.....Nils Ekman, A soft soft player who was 2nd on are team in scoring durring the regular season, great hands, great shot, very creative, but is a ghost around other players and makes no contact...but by being benched in a critical game 3....Mabey a fire well be lit under his but and he'll add to his measly 2 assist.
It'll be interesting to see how Korolyuk and Iginla play.
I think Iginla is gonna have a good game. After the first two incidents with hatcher and ohlund he came back strong with a good game I'm thinkin he is gonna score a goal today. Korky will prob have a good game I think he has been the best forward for the Sharks so far
I don't know if Iggy's spat at the end of last game will ignite the same kind of fire under him as did the Hatcher/Ohlund incidents. But anyways, despite having 2 points in 3 games, Iggy knows he must pick up the pace.
I'll be there in attendance cheering them on. 3-2 Flames!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! GO FLAMES GO!!!!
Oddly, I see it a bit differently. Korolyuk, has played strong throughout, but his points basically come from 2-3 games...if memory serves. I predict a strong effort from him, but not another 3 point night.
As for Igilna, it will be interesting to see if he does respond like his previous spats. I think this is a bit different as it wasn't a player confrontation, but rather a blow-up on his part. We'll find out soon enough.
My worry for SJ is that after a strong effort, they have tended to come out a little flat after that. Game 2 vs. St. Louis Game 3 & 4 vs. CO...game 2 vs. CAL. I really hope the SJ guys understand what we as fans do. A 2-2 series is a maybe...a 3-1 series is a maybe not.
I hope it is a good game, and it remains CLEAN! GO SHARKS!
God I hope someone, ANYONE takes this in less then 7. Because if it goes to 7 the game's on the night of my grad, and I'll be glued to the television until its over. If the flames win, it'll be a huge party downtown on a friday night that will last all night I imagine. Ill be there for sure. If they lose I won't feel like celebrating and will have a really crappy grad. So heres to a short series! I think whoever wins today takes it.
Not liking the calls so far. It's like they are starting to call the chippy stuff midway through the period. Why now? Why not when Ricci get floored for virtually nothing (and after the whistle). The calls are certainly favoring Calgary, but that could change in an instante. Would like to see some consistency though. You know you have problems when you can't even be consistent for a period. Still can't take away from the excitement of the game...thank goodness.
Well, pretty even forst period, but SJ is getting the penalties, and that has to stop. Nabby looks a bit shaky, when CAL is down with the puck. Hopefully, we'll actually get a decent scoring chance on Kipp.
Just a message from the other side of the world...I find it quite interesting how you pass judgement on how the world is against the Flames, while it seems that the Sharks fans are doing the exact same thing...I cannot watch the game so i do not know if these calls have been fair/unfair but if you're always mocking the Flames fans for their dissappointment with the refereeing, yet you are also, maybe there is a point to both teams being right. I have highlights of several of the other games, which i've seen and true Calgary have had many missed calls against them, yet i wouldn't go as far to see that the Flames are the only team getting robbed on calls. At the end of the day the ref's aren't perfect, if they're gonna make bad calls, at the end of the day that goes for both teams.
However in listening to the game, i do suspect that Calgary better open up in the second, otherwise we could be in trouble, not only here but in the whole series
