With that, Childress has been fired. I think we all saw that coming.
Hard to say where the QBs go. Locker and Mallett could go to so many teams, Newton would be a wilcard if he declares. Luck, well if he declares I'd expect Carolina to take him #1 and dump Clausen.

Zygi must've found out that can of Chili expired in 2007. Zing. Anyways, since T. Jack was Childress' project/"guy"/whatever, is he gone after this season?

Not necessarily. TJack isn't the most accurate passer, I think we would all agree. My analogy would be to Vick, if you make Vick drop in the pocket and pass the whole game he is going to underwhelm you. You let him roll out and occasionally rush the ball and now defenses have to honor him.

I, personally, believe that TJack was used in the wrong way, you use him like a Vick and you will see a completely different offense. The guy definitely has the legs. I would like see him play a game where they give him free reign to run, mix in a few end arounds and the defense will be on their heels.

He only ran a 4.75 at the combine of his draft year. Gradkowski(Raiders QB) ran a 4.59 that year, and I wouldn't call him "fast"(though 4.59 kinda surprised me for him). Cutler ran a 4.77 that year as well.

From an outsiders perspective(I'm a Cardinals fan), I'd consider Jackson a less talented, smaller version of Jason Campbell. And Campbell is having trouble remaining a starter on a mediocre Raiders team(Though I'd take him over Derek Anderson ).

With Childress gone, your offensive strategy may change. For a west-coast offense I would think Matt Leinart would be a great fit to compete with Jackson for the job(remember, I'm a Cardinals fan). If you wanted a more aggressive, vertical, down-the-field offense, then perhaps Mallett in the draft(as I see Locker/Luck going before you guys).

Hey guys! I'm a huge Favre fan and I wanted to see him play once live, so I bought tickets to the last game of the season (@ Detroit).

Now, I'm really nervous about him not dressing for the rest of the season. What is the feeling in Minny right now? Any chance I'll get to see the guy play in Detroit?

Favre will be playing unless he's either dead or injured. And even then it's a 50-50 shot.

Favre will play the rest of the season unless he is dead... or suspended from Stergergate.. which will be unlikely.

p.s. that idiot childress is gone!

So do you football minds think Frazier's going to do a better job? Do you think the players were tanking on purpose or will start suddenly working harder?

I will say this, I think 90% of the reason Chilly was never liked here was his personality. Minnesota fans love a coach who has some charm or at least says the right things the right way. Frazier's press conference had that endearing accent and the "focus on the next game" was certainly saying the right things to these ears.

Childress gave off a vibe that he thought he was superior than everyone else and then didn't deliver.

Our offense and defense basically telegraphed what we are doing and we were just gonna beat people anyway. When we stopped being able to beat people straight up we didn't adjust and keep slamming our head into the wall and ended up with what we have now.

I'm not a real big fan of Frazier and don't want him to be the coach next year. In my opinion he took over a defense that Tomlin made respectable and didn't bring it to any new level.

I would like to see a 3-4 defense but I don't see it happening with the players we have, too many key players aren't fit for it.

Good game, looked like they kept it simple and it worked. Seemed like the defensive line was putting more pressure on the QB, which took some pressure off the secondary. Also loved the play calling down the stretch with the run-run-run and play action.

Then again, maybe I should just stop commenting during the game. Am happy to see Sidney Rice back though.

Scored more points this half than we have in a whole game all year.

T. Jack is playing great. I would never press my luck and count on this type of productivity two weeks in a row. He didn't let that STUPID interception get to his head and recovered nicely. Keep it up and prove me wrong, T. Jack.
