I voted Staal.

Realisically though if Rozys still here when the reg season starts it should be him, I belive at least 1 Dman should be an "A". With that said, I can see a senario where over the next yr or 2 Staal is the next "A" out of the home growns and when Drury's contract is up in 2 yrs, if he's not resigned for a lower number, then at that point, barring any landmark aquisitions, I could see Dubi being given a letter and it will depend on how Cally develops between now and then, as to determin who gets the "C" and who is the foward "A" at that point.

gaborik deserves it. he is our top point scorer and if anyone deserves an A it should be him after last season's performance

Players look up to Gaborik to lead offensively, no reason why he doesnt get it.

Callahan with an A and Drury with the C (for now).

I think the love for Lisin is a bit more concerning. You know, the Lisin that is apparently better than half the roster...

That said, it's Rozi I think.

Dubi. He's the only one who won't back down and actually stands up for his teammates.

This. I think Rozy wore it last year because we wanted to wait to get Staal under contract. Once we re-sign him, I think he'll wear the second A.

I wouldn't mind it being Dubi though. I also see him as captain material.

I think Dubi may be too much of a hothead to wear a letter over a guy like Staal or over Gaborik.

My way?

A Callahan
A Gaborik
A Drury

Drury's contract may blow but the guy is still a leader to this team, and the other guys look up to him. He lays his body on the line every night.

I would love to have Drury re-signed for $2-2.5 million in two years.

Go with 3 A's until there is a an individual who establishes a captain role.

I vote Rosival.

I'm tired of all the freaking hate he gets. He plays 20+ minutes, quite good defensively. Offensively well...yea. He is still an integral part of our defense.

Rosival all the way.

He definitely is a hothead at times.

It could hurt his chances for a letter.

He is still young, though. We (people, guys in particular) tend to act out at times.

Hopefully he matures.

Still, most of the time he seems like a very intelligent, and well spoken guy. He has that kind of fire that is liked in a leader. He's also very business-like.

I don't expect him to get a letter, though.

It will probably be a veteran.

Rozsival isn't bad offensively.

He stopped shooting the puck, for what ever reason, after we didn't re-sign Jagr.

The first couple of years he was here, Rozsival put up very good offensive numbers while playing well defensively.

I was actually part of the re-sign Rozsival group.

But he's been nowhere near what he was when Jagr was here. No idea why the dropoff.

He stopped shooting. And that is the most frustrating part. He has a very good shot...when he uses it.

It should be Gaborik. I like Staal but at 23 he is not a veteran who should have a letter thrust onto him. I see one going to him in the future but let him develop without the added pressure. Gaborik.

I'd rather have someone who's a "little bit of a hothead" in Dubi rather than some emotionless, shy, "one of the best" d-men (on a team with pretty abysmal defense) in Rozi in a leadership position on this team.

umm look at the younger captains and alternates in the league. because Staal is 23 is not a great excuse but hey hockey is different here. a letter dont mean anything anyway.
