I'd nominate d-man Dmitri Kulikov for Colorado, would be a good fit since they got a lot of young forwards already like one of the previous posters stated.

The Buffalo Sabres are pleased to select, from Sibir of the KHL; Vladamir Tarasenko



Reason: Came down to Granlund versus Tarasenko as Buffalos biggest organizational need is offense on the wings. The deal breaker was that Granlund has some serious strength concerns(he couldn't do a single curl at the combine). As for Tarasenko, some scouts had him rated #1 to start the season, and he did nothing but improve(7G+10P vs 13G+24P). Risky because his last name isn't Smith, Buffalo can afford to try and hit a home run here.
