Who ever would of thought, quality performance though.

I'd love to see Spain knocked out in the group stages

^^ Doubt it happens, and I really hate the style of soccer that the Swiss(and the US usually) play, but I understand it because it is the only chance teams like that have of beating teams that they are outclassed by at every position.

I never really thought the Swiss had a chance! Prolly benefiting from Hiller's performance at the Winter Olympics.

BTW have you seen the pics of ambush advertising at the games in South Africa?

Of course I cheer for Italy even though this team is not even half of the 2006 one.

Spain was laughable today, they are basically the Sharks of soccer (but they won the European Championship two years ago! ). Typical "we are the best" approach, the swiss taught them to shut the hell up

How about North Korea yesterday, if it wasn't for the goalkeeper they could have tied it with Brazil

My god the Swiss and their upsets this year, it's incredible what that country is accomplishing in Futbol and Hockey.

Side not that's also funny, during the French Open they interviewed Nadal and he and Federer had talked about the World Cup and Nadal was laughing about how the Swiss didn't stand a chance.

I may be a South Africa homer, but Suarez's dive was Forsbergian. Khune made contact, but christ, Suarez embellished the **** out of that. Please Mexico, destroy Uruguay, I can't stand diving like that.

I wish I could be able to watch the game

I'm hoping the US makes it out of the group stage. Although they'd have to win it to avoid Germany in the first round, the Germans are not a team I'd want to play. I imagine the English will come out with all pistons firing against Algeria because of the result from the US match, so they NEED to beat Slovenia. Soundly.

What a weekend this is for sports - the Draft today and Germany vs. England on Sunday. Unbelievably awesome.
