Finally, games are not over anymore with 2-3 goals lead with 10 minutes left.
I hate it when Brunet calls the game over when the game is like 4-1 with 10-12 minutes left. Perfect example was yesterday. When the Flyers scored their 4 goals, he said the game was over for Chicago and then they make it 4-3, he said the game is never over til its over. It happens so many time. I wonder when he played and his team is trailing by 2 goals in the third, he also thinks the game is over and stop giving an effort.
That's because most of the names here are said with their proper pronunciation, not the americanized version, and you're making up the other ones.
Also, yay, no more Brunet.
I know but it's then only commentator who prononce names like this... My brother is a big Marek Svatos fan and Marek want people to pronounce his name ''Svatos''. Same thing for Okposo in NY or Backstrom in Was.

Who cares about the real prononciation ?
It's just a question of respect to the players... nothing wrong with that
Bouchard can't be worse but I dunno about him yet.
well, that's good news, Brunet was terrible.
Also, Joel is not bad, but what got on my nerves was his "gestures" / unibrow / freak eyes...
and since he's replacing Brunet, we won't see him that much.
next thing up :
-FIX THE SOUND (quality of sound of ice level is way better at CBC... at RDS, Pierre and Benoit are way too loud compared to the skates on the ice, the slapshot, the crowd, etc. I LOVE when we have trouble hearing what the commentator is saying on CBC because the crowd is just too loud.)
-Hire ADEQUATE replacements for Demers & Brunet/Joel

Yeah but Brunet always sucked even when he was doing the analyzing during intermissions. Bouchard will be good, he already has some experience when he was down at centre ice.

I care. But I want it to be what the PLAYERS normally go by.
Sorry for Brunet but that's good news. Obviously I would have preferred Dany Dubé but if he doesn't want to leave CKAC there's not much RDS can do about it... I've always liked Joel and think he'll make a great replacement. He's a great communicator, his french is much better than Brunet's, and he just comes across as a great guy. I wonder if they'll send Brunet back to the intermissions (where he wasn't too bad, it might kind of be a slap in the face though). I'd like to see Marc Denis during the intermissions as well, he's very well spoken and always interesting. They need two new people there, since Jacques Demers is leaving RDS and assuming Joel is going upstairs with Pierre Houde.
