Would have considered this if it was on Verizon.

There will no doubt be a Verizon iPhone coming sometime in the future, it's a matter of time before the carrier exclusivity ends imo.

Keynote over. No talk about iPad, Apple TV, Mac Mini and Magic Trackpad it seems.

What was the original price the 3GS? Isn't $299 lower? If so, people will be making it up with the new data plan pricing that AT&T has.

Which is a problem to most users, considering I do like using my phone to make phone calls and AT&T's network is incredibly spotty in this area.

These are the same prices as the 3GS had.

Agreed. It's a shame Verizon doesn't carry the iPhone, that would seriously boost Apple's market share in the US. In the few times I've used AT&T on trips to the US, I can safely say...I feel your pain.

I agree with everyone else... wish this thing was on Verizon. I'm getting it anyway.

I'm disappointed there was no mention of iOS for iPad...all we know is it's coming in the fall, there's bound to be iPad-specific features for it.

Oh well.

Must admit it looks like a pretty sexy phone, but I'll stick to my good old Rumor 2.

Same here.

I waited long enough for a Verizon iPhone.

Ended up getting a Palm Pre Plus instead, and I'm totally happy with it.

If Apple doesn't think that their AT&T exclusivity is costing them some potential business, they're crazy.

I'm sticking with my blackberry for the time being, it does everything I ask of it, even if it doesn't have as many bells and whistles as the iPhone, I'd rather Verizon over AT&T. I am starting to think that after all the rumors of a CDMA iPhone, we're easily a year or 2 off from ever seeing anything Apple on Verizon. Pretty amazing that without Verizon they managed to have 100 million iTouch based units sold. Wonder how many iPhone total?

Let's say I get the Iphone 4 on a contract basis, how much it will cost me if I want to upgrade to the 4G model next year?

I think i'm going to hold off on this iPhone.

I like it, it seems nicer, but most of the improvements are iOS improvements, and that alone is fine for me.

I'll get the iPhone 4G when it comes out.

In Canada standard HUG are minimum 2 years. So you would need to shell out unsubsidized price.

Yeah? So 2 years from now? Good luck with AT&T launching LTE any time before then.

Same can be said about the Canadian carriers. Do you really think there would be a 4G iPhone in Canada before AT&T?

Wishful thinking.

I noticed I had posted "Google Luck" instead of "Good Luck".

Freudian slip

I still don't understand why Apple hasn't introduced a BBM-type service. I feel like thats 90% of the appeal of Blackberries for most people. I thought today they'd announce iChat for the iPhone that would have video conferencing and also a BBM-esque messaging service. Seems like a great idea to me...

Agreed. No idea why there's no iChat for iPhone. Hopefully that'll come in the not too distant future.

I agree. It would definitely bite into that chunk of BB users in the early to mid twenties demographic who are old enough to own a smartphone but not for business purposes.
