Next weekend can't come fast enough. Just seems like it's going to be a crappy week.

Is it bad if I spend time on the internets looking for a job somewhere else (for after graduation in December) while I'm in my second week of work at my summer internship?

Pretty bad, I'd think.

Not really. I looked for a new job while at my old one. Probably shouldn't let your boss know that's what you're doing, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

This week is going to be awesome. 3-day work week, and then Baja competition Thursday-Sunday. And since the competition is at RIT, I'm going to be in Ithaca at least a couple nights. Two of my closest friends are there working this summer (without their significant others) so we're going to get ****ing ripped.

I don't even have any responsibilites at competition since my subteam tried to throw me off and took away all my projects which means all the fun of competition but none of the soul crushing hours of work.

Well I work in a aquatic toxicity testing lab, so because it rained heavily this past weekend I'm going to have an insane amount of work this week as clients bring their stormwater samples in.

As long as you get your work for your internship done and you have no other work for them to do, no. It is an internship so they will understand that you are there for a limited time and may go somewhere else for a job come December.

Now I wouldn't be too open about it as it basically highlights that you aren't doing work for them right now. But it isn't like you are looking for a new job somewhere else two weeks after taking a paying position somewhere.

back from weekend trip at cabin getaway... nothing much to report except

1) horses hate me
2) brand names mean nothing when it comes to beds and comfort

did I miss anything worth mentioning?

TaN Law Code 1 Sec. 1 posted at the end of TaN #55. I suggest you all take a look for future reference. I cannot see post-times, so I'm not sure if a true violation has occurred. However, it will be a few hours before I do (****ing meeting after work) and since I am likely to forget anyway, full pardons in the event that one has, unfortunately, occurred.

There are man laws, and then there are TaN laws.

the two sets of laws are mutually exclusive... and should not be mixed (especially when it comes to the topic of drinking)

And the man laws are more strict. The TaN laws get broken at least once per TaN.

Nah, the actual competition is being held out east of Rochester, near Palmyra, maybe 20-25 minutes away. Pretty close to where I worked last summer, actually. So while RIT is hosting, they're only sort of hosting.

Regardless, I plan to spend some time at RIT because a friend of mine who goes there is taking summer classes right now, poor son of a *****.

Saw it last night. Very, very good but not as good as some other Apatow films.

P Diddy was hilarious.

I haven't seen it, but friends whose opinions I trust have loved it. I'll probably go this weekend.
