Gary "Cobra" Simmons with the Seals was another goalie who looked like he wasn't exactly doing a five-mile run each morning.

Yes, this was referred to in the Toronto press of the time as "the Battle of the Bulge." Poor old Turk; he just loved to eat and he never did manage to become less than roly, poly.
