You do realize that 5 feet out of the crease is near the faceoff dots, don't you?

Actually he was driving to the net on an odd man rush. If Nabby stayed in his crease gelinas attempt to miss him would have been completely 100% successful.

This is an interesting situation for SJ to be in, considering what happened in the playoffs with Perezhogin and Stafford. Granted, it's not the same intensity, but Gelinas touched Nabby, and took a stick to his head as a result. I'd figure the stick to the head is suspension-worthy (only 1 game, but a suspension nonetheless). It'll be interesting to see Sharks fans argue out of this one, considering most of them were up in arms when Perezhogin swung his stick and connected on Staff.

Again, not the same intensity, but similar act, for sure.

Actually...around 11 feet. Split the diff. The crease extends for 4 feet from the red line, which is 20 feet from the dots. So, being 5 feet outside that would put him on the edge of the faceoff circle, not the dots.

Noob? LOL

All I've got to say is X8od or whatever the hell your name is, keep calling blowouts against the flames please. You have a real knack for calling them backwards, stretching all the way back to the Det/Cal series, and seeing how you hate the flames because they took out your precious red wings, this works out well for us!!

seriously thanks man keep up the good work

Wow either your judement is bad or your math sucks. No way is the top of the crease 5 feet from the faceoff dot.

YEAH!!!!!

Flames did what got them here, and what helped them win Game 1 and 2 - stifle the Sharks, box out their forwards, tenacious forcheck - or essentially, what the Sharks did in Game 3 and 4.

4 shots in the 3rd? LOL!

1 more game and... oh wow...

PS: To be fair, I didn't think Harvey's cross check was THAT bad... a 2 minute minor... much like the spears and such everyone here was whining about Nimenen doing. What I don't get is how 2 minute minor's get everyone so riled up and call this guy or that guy cheap.

That's the thing when goalies dive... the players really never know if he was run or not. I certainly don't condone Harveys cross check, but if Nabby was actually hurt one wouldn't feel so bad about the retaliation.

Generally, I would agree with you, but the cross-check was directed at the head of the Flames' player. If it's at his shoulder, I wouldn't even think twice about calling it a 2-minute minor, but the fact that it was at the side of the head is rather disturbing to me.

Top of the crease is 6 feet from the goal line, actually.

Well, SJ has again failed to impress me...utterly.

I am throwing some blame on the coaches for this one. After games 1/2; I would have expected Wilson to make the necessary adjustments at home. Considering the line-up changes, and the execution of basically nothing from the 2nd period onward; Wilson needs to seriously evaluate if he can coach 2 more wins...in a row...one of which is at home. (man that is wierd to type...)

Anyway, San Jose got some unlucky bounces in the first, but the 2 goals were blown coverage and a really silly pass by Damphousse that led to the shorty.

A really down fan....

Although, wish me luck tomorrow...Big interview in Sacramento (just to end on a high-note)

Actually, McLaren made the pinch, which sent the puck to Vinnie at the halfboards. Vinnie made a weak backhander towards Stuart, but Igilna ate it up...

The rest is on ESPN's plays of the night.

I stand corrected, i really thought it was Korky, but it was Stuart that really drew my ire, his PP work and awareness are not first unit caliber.

Oscar-worthy acting job by Evgeni Ribeiro on the Gelinas "hit".

The dive is bad enough, but to lie on the ground like you're shot and have the trainer come out? That's just brutal.

Good game by the Flames. The third period was nice and boring. Loved it.
